“I learned in a press release from the Attorney General tonight that I was ‘stepping down’ as United States Attorney. I have not resigned, and have no intention of resigning my position, to which I was appointed by the Judges of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.”

— Geoffrey Berman, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, upon hearing of Attorney General William Barr’s announcement that Donald Trump plans to nominate Jay Clayton, Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman, to the post. [Berman has been investigating Trump and his political campaign. Although the Chief Judge of the Southern District entered an order appointing Berman, his appointment is indefinite only until the Senate confirms someone nominated by the president. Keep an eye on this one. It’s certain to become a hot issue between now and Nov 3. We’ve already seen what he does to inspectors general who attempt to investigate his administration.]

“[A]ny protesters, anarchists, agitators, looters or lowlifes who are going to Oklahoma, please understand, you will not be treated like you have been in New York, Seattle or Minneapolis. It will be a much different scene!”

—Trump, threatening to come down hard on protesters at his rally today in Tulsa. [Apparently, only his supporters enjoy the right of free assembly and free expression. Oh, and don’t even try to claim that the looting and burning was the act of only one side or Antifa-inspired. Anarchy is perpetrated by those who stand to gain from it.]

“I just hope and pray that the president keeps his people calm, but I have no faith in this president. He has shown a propensity to incite violence.”

—Rev. Robert R.A. Turner, on his doubts that Trump will control—or even try to control—his supporters in Tulsa. [See above comments re: anarchists.]

The recent Supreme Court decisions, not only on DACA, Sanctuary Cities, Census, and others, tell you only one thing, we need NEW JUSTICES of the Supreme Court. If the Radical Left Democrats assume power, your Second Amendment, Right to Life, Secure Borders, and. Religious Liberty, among many other things, are OVER and GONE!

—Tweet by Donald Trump, June 18, 2020. [Of course, some of the conservative justices, including his own appointees, had to have voted with the majority on each of those decisions. Wonder if he knows he can’t fire Supreme Court justices or federal judges? Wonder if any staffer would dare tell him?]

“I did something good: I made Juneteenth very famous. It’s actually an important event, an important time. But nobody had ever heard of it.”

—Trump, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.

“Oh, really? We put out a statement? The Trump White House put out a statement?” OK, OK. Good.”

—Trump, when told by an aide that the Trump White House had issued statements on Juneteenth for the past three years. [Now probably a former aide.]

Here’s what they look like: NOPE 2020 SHIRTS AND MASKS (there are two pages, so be sure to scroll down to see both products.)

Note the orange (for the shirts; yellow for the facemasks) coiffure at the top of the word Nope; it’s the same color as the Liar-in-Chief’s toupee (depending on how the light catches it) and then there’s the crowning touch: the long, flowing red tie—just like the ones worn by The Tangerine Toddler. (Sorry, no little hands.)

The shirts are $18.99 for sizes Small, Medium, Large and XL. 2XLs are $21.99 and 3XL are $23.99.

That’s a good bit less than what you’ll pay for equivalent shirts elsewhere.

5 Masks: $36.00

10 Masks: $66.00

“I will consider every conversation with me as president highly classified. So that would mean that if he wrote a book, and if the book gets out, he’s broken the law. And I would think that he would have criminal problems, I would hope so. They’ll soon be in court.”

—Donald Trump, on his objections to former National Security Advisor John Bolton’s book The Room Where it Happened

“I don’t know of any book that’s been published so quickly while the officeholders are still in government, and it’s about very current events, current leaders and current discussions of current policy issues, many of which are inherently classified.”

—Trump’s legal lapdog William Barr, Bolton’s book. {Looks to me like someone’s scared to death of what the book might reveal.]

“Bolton directly witnessed not one, but multiple acts that could have been cited in the impeachment of President Donald Trump. But Bolton did nothing about it while he held a powerful post in the Trump administration. And he stayed quiet and took cover when Congress and the nation pleaded with him to speak out during the impeachment process. Yet now that he has entered book promo mode, Bolton suddenly has summoned the spine that he was sorely missing back when it would have made an actual difference. Bolton had ample opportunity to speak up throughout the months-long impeachment of Trump over the Ukraine scandal. House investigators first asked that he appear to give voluntary testimony; Bolton was a no-show. Bolton then retained counsel, who requested a subpoena and promised to go to the courts for adjudication.”

—CNN legal analyst Elle Honig, on Bolton’s waiting until now to speak out. [But…but…but if he’d testified, don’t you see it would have diminished the impact of the book’s revelations and thus, sales. Of course, Trump’s ill-fated lawsuit to stop publication only served to assure Bolton of a No. 1 bestseller. Yet another tactical blunder by the Tangerine Toddler.]
