[Berman has been investigating Trump and his political campaign. Although the Chief Judge of the Southern District entered an order appointing Berman, his appointment is indefinite only until the Senate confirms someone nominated by the president. Keep an eye on this one. It’s certain to become a hot issue between now and Nov 3. We’ve already seen what he does to inspectors general who attempt to investigate his administration.]
