Sickening. Who are we? These are not all “dangerous criminals.”
I guess you forgot how the FBI and police dragged people out of school board meetings. Or tracked Catholics for anti-abortion postures etc. But then, use of child labor is okay as long as the price of fruit is cheaper, correct?
Zoe! Where have you been? We haven’t heard from you in a long time. Still on the far right side of the political scale, I see. But good of you to join the debate. 🙂
Okay, obviously both are wrong but you’re contending that two wrongs make a right? Or is that your examples are wrong, but what ICE is doing is righteous and moral? Explain it to me, Zoe, like we’re in Sunday School.
“CJ”, Tom removes some of my posts. I am hardly “far right”.
Well Tom, my point is, you fail to EVER comment when the “left” is wrong, but act like it is just the conservative point of view that has moral failure. Didn’t these illegals simply barge their way into the USA, and didn’t the sitting president encourage it on Day 1?
There is NO way to justify this labor violation which is a crime no matter where you come from. To comment on the arrests while ignoring the fact that not only are these people illegal, they are working at substandard wages (thus your comment on cheaper product) and do not pay either income taxes or social security, but clearly benefit from governmental benefits (schools, hospitals etc.). Don’t we morally condemn Red China for the same acts?
Illegals can apply for work permits and enter our country legally. That is in the law already.
As for ICE, are they not following our laws as the law is written? Do you think it is okay to expose home addresses of ICE agents so people can go to their home/family? Tom, do you oppose all police action on grounds of righteous or moral implication? How on earth do you compare a man whose daughter was raped at school who questioned the School Board and was physically dragged from the room to illegal aliens or child labor abuse to rounding up unvetted illegals? Thousands who were released from jails and sent here (Venezuela for certain).
That is why Joseph Biden wanted the law to be changed; to ratify his incompetence. Not that there was not already laws in place.
It is totally ignorant to compare ANY American President to Hitler, Stalin etc. The Gestapo references are unfounded as well.
When Trump moves to censure free speech, right of free movement to citizens, shut down the Congress I will be the first in line to oppose him.
Zoe, to my knowledge, I have NEVER “removed” one of your comments. I don’t know where you come off saying such a thing. You’re too entertaining for me to delete your observations.
To your second point, I most certainly have criticized both parties, both political philosophies. Go back and read where I gave John Kennedy full credit for making a nominee to a federal judgeship look so silly that he withdrew his name. Look where I’ve criticized Democrats – there are quite a few examples, so please don’t go flying off the handle with false accusations.
Finally, to your claim that illegals “barge” their way into the U.S., what do you think the English, French, Spaniards, etc. did to a land once inhabited only by “Native Americans”? Most of us are descendants of illegal immigrants. As for those who are now “barging” their way in, why do you think that is? Could it possibly be that American businessmen are hiring them because they work for less (and they work harder, I might add). I’ve not read of a single American businessman being arrested for employing illegals. It’s kind of like the drug problem – if there was not a demand, there would be no supply. So, if you want to hose someone, it’s not the user or the illegal worker. It’s those who make drugs – and jobs – available and it’s those who exploit illegals willingness to work cheaply – because it’s still more than they make in their home countries.
Trump, by the way, is already attempting to stifle free speech and free assembly and he certainly jerks congress’s strings. If you don’t see that, there’s little hope in reasoning with you.
Finally, I would point out that the illegals for the most part (except for employers who illegally pay them under the table), pay into social security (even though, contrary to what you might think, they are not eligible to draw social security) and they pay federal taxes. In fact, they contribute more in taxes (income and sales taxes) than IBM, GE, GM, Ford, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook or Instagram.
