Trump keeps talking about the “trillions” that will come pouring into the US economy because of his tariffs. If he’s truly that stupid it makes him the most economically illiterate person on the planet. And if it’s just more gaslighting then it’s a bold and risky lie, even for Trump who will lie about anything at any time. Gaslighting stupid MAGA voters we aren’t in a depression might not be that difficult for Trump but the rest of the world is unlikely to play along.
