It’s not the “children” in the caucus who are the problem. It’s “adults” like Tom Cole who sold out to Trump, his stupid lies and his ignorant voters for the temporary power it brought them. “Republicans” like Cole could have prevented their party from embracing fascism if they actually had principles they believed in enough to live up to. But they don’t. Lip service to their “cherished beliefs” is the best they can do. The only thing any of them really believe in is that they are entitled to wallow in their prejudices. They greased that slide into debasement with the phony outrage generated by a two-decades long disinformation campaign from their propaganda media, whose only goal has always been to fleece the rubes. Now we’ve come to this point in time when the “Republican” party is utterly bankrupt, utterly incompetent, and utterly incapable of governing. And it’s all on people like Cole and his ilk who tried to ride that tiger only to learn it has turned on them.
