“People that you’ve never heard of, people that are in the dark shadows. There are people that are on the streets, there are people that are controlling the streets. We had somebody get on a plane from a certain city this weekend, and in the plane, it was almost completely loaded with thugs, wearing these dark uniforms, black uniforms, with gear and this and that.”
—Donald Trump’s wacko conspiracy theory, given in an interview with Laura Ingraham of conspiracy theory Fox News. [Mark my words here, there are idiots out there who will swallow this entire line of B.S. and regurgitate it all over the Internet.]
“I’ll tell you some time. It’s under investigation right now. [A] lot of people were on the plane to do big damage.”
—Additional unsubstantiated claims by Trump in the Ingraham interview. [Yeah, right. They’re going to fly on a commercial airline completely decked out in “uniform” with signs around their necks identifying themselves as “Looters” for all to see as they set about on their mission to do “big damage.” Does anyone in his right mind actually buy this crock? Someone please call out this damned fool and hold him accountable before he instigates a race war from which this country may never recover.]
“I will see whether or not I can get that person to speak to you, but this was a firsthand account of a plane going from Washington to wherever, and I’ll see if I can get that information for you, maybe they’ll speak to you, maybe they won’t.”
—Donald Trump, on those “looters” and “thugs” supposedly on that plane. [Any bets on whether or not he can get “that person” to come forward? If they do, it will be the very first time Trump will have come through on a promise – any promise.]]
“[A]t least a dozen males got off the plane in Boise from Seattle, dressed head to toe in black. Be ready for attacks downtown and residential areas. [O]ne passenger had “a tattoo that said Antifa America on his arm.”
—Facebook post last Tuesday (Aug. 25) by an Emmett, Idaho, resident, warning residents there apparently of these same thugs and looters who seem to really get around. [So, now we know where idiot child learned of those “looters” and “thugs” on the plane – but in Washington, D.C., not Washington State. Another conspiracy theory harvested from the good ol’ reliable Internet. Trump obviously resides in a blissful, delusional world, free from all the burdens of reality.]
“All I ask is that he keep his disrespect, his foul language far away from our family. We need a president that’s going to unite and take us in a different direction. We want the same right he’s got, and we want to be able to get our children home safely. They should be able to go anywhere they want in this nation and get home safely, and not get shot seven times.”
—Justin Blake, uncle of Jacob Blake who was shot seven times in the back by Kenosha police, on Donald Trump, who he called “the orange man,” during his trip to Kenosha on Monday.
“It seemed like it was almost inevitable and it was almost planned. They knew if they came down, they would meet the protesters that have been here for three months, and you saw what happened — people got hurt, one person got killed and a lot of just unbelievable situations.”
—Portland, Ore., resident Nick Sonies, following the shooting death of Patriot Prayer member Aaron Danielson last Saturday.
That was probably a basketball team on the plane.
All things considered, if they even existed, your theory makes sense for how such a rumor could get wings from its assumed originator. Also, not to be insensitive or politically incorrect, this whole “dark shadows” thing is just crazy. I wonder if our President ever watched the Dark Shadows soap opera? It makes sense that he might have. Barnabas Collins would have been a good role model for him.
Day after day tRump spews out these lies and unhinged comments. Though deplorable, one expects that from him. It is the bottom of the barrel standard by which he lives. What I do find rather astounding is the paucity of his defenders on Louisiana Voice. Is it because they do not exist or because the only defense they can muster is the furtherance of mutilated truths and finger pointing at Democrats?
I guess the algorithms that drive the bots posting here are on some kind of cycle, since they seem to come in and go out in a pattern. Some of his defenders seem real and I suspect they run out of ways to respond when their notions are attacked. The trolls among them may finally realize the ultimate default of name-calling doesn’t necessarily work. But, I am convinced the ones who repeat the same cut-and-paste things over and over and over are bots, not real people.
As I read your “quotes”, I was taken back to the time in my childhood when comic books sold millions because of the “heroes” fighting crime, injustice in all forms and right all of the wrongs….Wonder Woman, The Green Hornet, Batman, Superman, etc. etc. Me and my friends read them all and swapped what we didn’t have and I was always a reader that needed for the stories to end well….for right to prevail over evil….for justice to win over injustice and these comic books delivered. Now, as an old woman, I am seeing the evil monster in real time and I am waiting for our “Super Hero” to deliver us….for good to win over evil, for right to win over wrong and for justice to win over injustice….maybe the “Super Hero” is us…maybe by simply voting Blue all the way thru we will restore the things that benefit all of us, even those that trust Trump. Do you feel a “Super Hero” surge coming on???
Bring him on!!
I do have some questions about that planeload of black uninformed thugs with gear and “this and that.” Was that a commercial flight? If so, how did those passengers board with all their gear and this and that? Last I heard, weapons are not allowed on board and there is only so much room in the overhead bins and under seats for gear that can be used for destructive purposes. What was this gear, (not to mention “this and that”) and why could the one lone not-thug-looter-anarchist-rioter see all that stuff if it was inside luggage?
And did these scary people in dark apparel have signs or insignia stating that they were thugs, anarchists, looters and rioters? Just wanting to know, so I can bring my own gear and this and that on my next flight to “wherever.” I will be sure to wear black and have a label on my clothing stating my nefarious mission. Think mine will say JOURNALIST.
Let me know when you’re going to take that flight. I will join you with my this and that.
Let’s pack that plane. Let’s see if we can scare the daylights out of some trump loving snowflakes, who seem to be able to dish out the abuse, but can’t take it (even when only imagined). We all need a field trip to wherever after staying close to home for so long. Mask up and awaaaay!
I was on a plane one time with about 30 big guys all dressed alike with gear. Turns out they were a football team. I didn’t recognize the logo on their wind suits and had not heard of their college before they told me. Nice kids on their way to a game. A true story, just not frightening.
I think some of these comments are arrogant and condescending and sounds like the commenters have a very high opinion of themselves. It is easy to stand back and criticize, but what have you done for our country?
For some reason your comment appeared in my email just today. Mr. Graham what is condescending and arrogant about commenting on a totally ridiculous comment by trump. What’s “this and that”? After the passage of the Patriot Act how can armed thugs board a plane in this country? What have we done for this country? Just vote, question any idiotic statement, comment or action said or done by any president and try to hold them accountable. What have you done? Blindly follow an incompetent president and believe anything he says or what the far-right media and social media says?
Well, it’s a relatively quiet day. Why not read about another tRump corrupt official wasting taxpayer money and probably lining his pockets at some point.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/us-policy/2020/09/02/navarro-pandemic-coronavirus/
The problem is no Trumpers read these articles and, if they read the headlines, they immediately dismiss them as hating on their hero unfairly. Navarro is the smoothest liar on Trump’s team and there can be little doubt he is lining his pockets.
