“I am proud of the work that we have accomplished in making Louisiana a better place to live and raise a family…”
“I believe that our accomplishments will provide lasting benefits for generations to come.”
“…I have accepted a position with Ochsner. I’ll be helping them to strategically manage their growth as a healthcare provider. I’ve always been passionate about healthcare and wellness…”
—Commissioner of Administration Kristy Nichols in email messages sent to Division of Administration employees in which she announced she will resign, effective Oct. 14, to work as a lobbyist for Ochsner Health Systems.
“Kristy has been a key team player who has fully dedicated herself to bettering the state of Louisiana.”
“Together, we’ve been able to reduce the size of government, improve health care across the state, and create a better, stronger Louisiana.”
—Bobby Jindal, in announcing Kristy’s departure after three years as Commissioner of Administration.

she should be in prison
Agree!!!!
Perhaps a just punishment for her – and her boss – would be confinement in the forensic unit in one of remaining state mental hospitals. They are both so delusional, maybe they’ll pretend the food actually tastes good and fills their bellies.
Great response!
We, Louisianians, will feel the effects of the Jindal Administration’s efforts for many decades with the cuts that were made in Education, Healthcare and in every category where the people needed help the most!!! We need a Governor who is disciplined, ethical, and a practical leader to get us through the Legacy of Litigation and damage that Jindal has left for the rest of us.
In closing, let me add that we also need an Attorney General with courage and knowledge to earn the respect of the people by fighting for Louisiana, even if it means going after former elected politicians !!!
From LA.gov:
“The Attorney General heads the Department of Justice and is the state’s chief legal officer. The responsibility of the Attorney General is to protect the rights and interests of the state. He or she has the authority to intervene in any civil action in which the state has an interest. For example, the Attorney General represented the state in its dispute with the federal government over offshore mineral rights. The Attorney General’s office defends Louisiana laws against constitutional challenges in federal court.
The Attorney General has a very limited role in prosecuting criminals and cannot become involved in a criminal case without an invitation from the parish district attorney. As the legal adviser to state agencies, the Attorney General gives written advisory opinions on questions of law to state and local public officials. These opinions carry a great deal of weight but do not have the force of law. When a binding interpretation of a law is required, a suit may be filed to have the courts make a decision.”
The attorney general is a toothless tiger. The position description in the 1974 constitution should be amended to give the AG the ability to bite. Jean, if anyone knows how to get that ball rolling, it’s you.
This witch is such a clone for jindal that there is probably already a foot in the door to bring jindal in the back door so together the can ruin Ochsner like they hurt the Baton Rouge General Hospital and all public health care facilities. I would not trust her to have any affiliation with any health care facility. Ochsner will reqret hiring her for anything cause she will “sell them out” and they will not know until it’s too late. Wake up Ochsner haven’t you seen the writing on the wall? They’ll take you down with them.
After watching the debates and Jindalites like Kristy Kreme, I say again, ALL communication is based upon, fear, ignorance, and prejudice, personal attributes we all have and can only be cured by “learning or education”. We must love these poor Jindalites, remove them from public office, and never never give up our country to them.. ron thompson
