I do not like to be political, but I have actually written Pyush Jindal, Louisiana Governor and assured I would get a response in a few days. Well, that was over a month ago, no response. I do not know anything about government except the medical aspects of it. My drivers license address is Louisiana. When I worked at LSUMC our hospital made enough money to buy all the equipment it needed, in fact, it was the one hospital, medical school that supported itself, made money for itself. The State of Louisiana decided that was their money too, so they took the excess. Now, Jindal is trying to privatize the hospital systems. The Shreveport one has bowed to what Jindal says. It already works with Willis Knighton. I retired from LSUMC and what happens to the LSU system really bothers me.
This thing that Jindal has now will ruin the hospital training system. Who wants to train at a private hospital when he can train at a teaching hospital? No one will pick Louisiana to train our interns and residents. What idiot will follow this dictator’s path? From what I read in Louisiana Voice, there are a lot of idiots. Next, he will attack an educational system that needs help, not cutbacks. Okay, that takes care of the indigent, no health care for them. That will be okay in the long run, without health care they will die so that problem is taken care of. Buy insurance??? Well, some really cannot. Oh, he can buy dope but not insurance? His little mind has gone down a path that he needs help to get off the dope/alcohol/whatever. A runaway train going downhill, eventual crash without help. That’s okay, what is one more dopehead or alcoholic? They are human. Now the innocent children will be next. What kind of politician follows this man’s path? I can only assume it is a lemming politician. Just like the poor lemming, after he has taken you over the cliff, your political life will be no more. But, as a politician, I do imagine the high ideals you entered this field with, thinking you could make a difference, I would think you would need an Ativan to sleep at night. Well, you can afford it I am sure, I hope it blocks out the memory of why you entered into politics anyhow.
