“This is an important first step in what will be a lengthy, careful and thorough evaluation process to arrive at the best possible policy for plan members and taxpayers alike.”
—Commissioner of Administration Paul Rainwater, on announcing the hiring of troubled Morgan Keegan, recently fined $210 million for fraud by the SEC, to advise the Jindal administration on the disposition of the Office of Group Benefits and its $500 million surplus.

“Snakes… I hate snakes”. This administration is in bed with some real vipers.
Louisiana taxpayers will ultimately pick up the tab. Maybe there is more to the church visits in north Louisiana, aside from the collection plate, than we know.
You are so right Holly! And this administration is so arrogant and oblivious to what the great majority is demanding. He continues to ignore everyone and push another failed privatization effort. He also better realize quickly that this continued disregard of the will of the people WILL lead to what is happening around the country and around the world: violent protests to get rid of the dictators! Also, our legislators better know we are watching close. This is an election year and we will vote out people not willing or capable of standing up for what is right for ALL of the people of this great state!
I so hope you’re right Monroe Heart Man.
