“My background is in health care.”
“When I ran for Congress I promised to help make health care affordable again.”
—Gov. Bobby Jindal, somewhere in a parallel universe, pontificating on health care. (He’s not a doctor, but maybe he’ll play one on TV when he’s through playing governor.)

Well, Jindal ran for Congress and he made
a promise. He must have kept it, for the
people elected him Governor of LA right
on the heels of his having been elected to
Congress. If I remember correctly, the
quotation of Jindal said he would work
to make health-care affordable, not that
he would do it in one term in Congress.
As I see it, Jindal is doing a great job. He
is not vetoing enough of the laws passed
by the Legislature, but he’ll learn soon
that he needs to exercise his veto power
more. We already have too many laws
in Louisiana. One of the tenets of a
political conservative is that the body of
laws should be stable and changed only
for the most exigent of circumstances.
There is more to it all than this, but this
is something to think about.
Once again I say that the only Republican
Ticket that can beat Obama and Company
is a Palin-Jindal Republican Ticket. Again,
Jindal is doing a fine job! He is really a
Democrat at heart, but a conservative
Democrat, a Ronald Reagan Democrat.
There is more to it all than this, but this
is something for consideration.
Sincerely,
Hardy Parkerson, J.D.

This IS a joke, right?
This is a joke, right? No real person could be THIS obtuse, correct? A Palin-Jindal ticket??? OK, so the “political conservative” tenet is that the “body of laws should be stable and changed only for the exigent of circumstances.” Hmmmm. I thought the political conservative wanted smaller government, fewer state employees, etc. How can that be done without significant changes to statutes to eliminate agencies? I’m confused. Also, how is Mr. Parkerson a Democrat? Again, this CAN’T be a real person. Right??
Every person has an opinion. I just respectfully disagree with your opinion sir…
That ticket would be disaster for our country…
What I said was that a Palin-Jindal Ticket
is the only Republican Ticket that can
beat the Obama and Company ticket.
Just wait and see.
Sincerely,

For whom did Jindal promise to make health care affordable?
Tom , why would Jindal award the RFP to Morgan Keegan to sell OGB
when Regions Bank is selling Morgan Keegan? Sounds like the ORM deal all over. Is it a Back door to Goldman Sachs? I know you will get the facts.
Louisiana Law is anything but stable. Antiquated and ambiguous. “What happens in vagueness, stays in vagueness.”
