“I Hope Obama Fails”

Does this sound like someone wanting what’s best for the country or what’s best for his political party? I mean, personally, no matter who wins, I always hope that the results will be favorable for my country.

What I heard on the radio was, “We need to see to it that Obama fails in everything he tries.” I remember it well as my wife and I had just returned from Italy, were on the way home from the airport and didn’t even know the election results. It was more than hope; he was calling for action to make him fail.
I was listening to that same broadcast and my first thought was, “If he fails, the entire country fails Why would he want that?”
Statement just above blue highlighted COMMENT box. “…How mean the Democrats are.” Shouldn’t that be Republicans?
