Some just can’t handle saying it like it is. We’re sticking our heads in the sand.
Supply side economics with its endless tax cuts for the wealthy – the ONLY economic strategy the right has employed for more than forty years – has created a handful of obscenely rich individuals who excercise unelected, unaccountable, and undue influence over government and society. The self-interest and the cowardice of Jeff Bezos is the example here, but there are others on a short list. Call me whatever you will but allowing anyone to amass that kind of power without restraint is the same as calling him “master” and accepting your slavery. Hasn’t the world’s richest man said the problem is that YOU don’t know how to live within YOUR means and that YOU need to get ready to face some hardships? And if he and Trump don’t have a catfight he just might get to “solve” that “problem” for us.
