Call me a skeptic, but given recent history, should we be making kids even more accessible to these people?

Why aren’t you saying the same thing about transgender indoctrination and porn sex books allowed in libraries in many places. A little faith couldn’t hurt.
Because there is not a single (no, not one, to borrow a line from scripture) case of a library or a drag queen having sexually molested a child. Too bad we can’t say the same for certain members of the clergy.
Also, if you even bothered to read the story (the link was provided for you) you’d see that those who have written the letter opposing the measure are mostly religious leaders who see the potential for grooming.
Goose: Arrest and conviction records show that the child sex predators/groomers are mainly white men, many if whom hold longstanding positions in Catholic & Protestant churches as clergy, pastors, youth leaders, etc. THAT is why kids don’t want to be the sex they’re born with. Their self images & spirits are destroyed by Christian hypocrisy. I challenge you to post verifiable information of this to be true of the LGBTQ community. Also, obviously there’s a market for porn in all these good Christian communities sold in bookstores, magazine racks & maybe public libraries but not in the public school libraries.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am vehemently opposed to anyone acting as a school counselor who is not qualified and educated to do so. Also, shouldn’t separation of Church and State be upheld? A public school may have Christian, Jewish and Muslim children. How unbiased can a Chaplain really be? Not a good idea, at all!
What is not said with this legislation is that “Republicans” everywhere, not just Texas, believe mental health professionals are just vehicles for transmitting “woke” ideologies which they learned at the elitist universities they attended. This legislation isn’t so much opening the door for pastors as it is a means of hustling perceived liberals out of the door. Because propping up their alternate reality requires turning a blind eye at every occasion.
Great post, I reshared on my Twitter account.
