—West Point Honor Code so often repeated by Gov. John Bel Edwards during his campaign.
“(Col. Mike) Edmonson ordered us to drive that vehicle to San Diego. And now, in an attempt to save face, he’s going to punish us by taking away our pay for the trip.”
—One of the four (who must remain anonymous for obvious reasons) who drove the Ford Expedition assigned to Assistant State Police Superintendent Charles Dupuy to San Diego for the October International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) conference at which Edmonson was presented an award from IACP.
“Gov. Edwards has a clear-cut choice: he can hold true to the Code or he can crater to the Louisiana Sheriffs’ Association. It’s that simple.”

Hello,
I am a subscriber and I have donated to you recently. I was born in Louisiana, but spent my entire adult life in Texas. I have recently returned home after 50 years to live with my elderly mom.
I’ve been so focused on the shenanigans of the Texas government that I haven’t been paying attention to what’s happening over here. I’m so glad that I’ve found a Web site that keeps me informed about Louisiana’s bad governmental behavior.
I found your site when I did a search for 6-C Hunting Club and found the stories you wrote about my two distant cousins. They have had legal battles over corporate takeover of land that our families have hunted on since before Louisiana was a state.
The whole story was news to me. I’d been out to the hunting club with another cousin to visit an old cemetery on the property. I had no idea that such a club existed. Then I did the Web search and found your site.
The hunting club story reminded me of the days of Robin Hood, when the peasants could be arrested for hunting on the nobles’ land. It’s just come back down to that.
Hopefully the disaster that is now occurring in the White House is waking people up to how politics really does impact our daily lives. We need people like you speaking truth to power. Keep up the good work.
Welcome aboard!! Your story is similar to mine except I’ve lived in Baton Rouge all my life. Nevertheless, it seemed no MSM outlet to see the REAL Bobby Jindal. Thus, after sitting through an utterly embarrassing (for the prosecution) trial of Murphy Painter, I Googled “Bobby Jindal corruption,” and up popped Tom’s site, and the rest, as they say, is history!!
Again, welcome aboard!!
The Gov. will cave in and everything will go away in a month or two. Business as usual. Run Run as fast as you can, you can’t catch me i am the Gingerbread Man.
