I heard about this happening from a friend. It seems when Piyush cannot dismantle a department all at once he just picks it apart piece by piece like he is doing the to the public schools and healthcare. There has got to be a way to politically euthanize this beast. Event the Republicans are sick of him but are apparently too gutless to do anything bipartisan. Let’s pray for an uproar in the legislature with enough votes to override his veto.

I don’t see that happening simply for the reason that those folks simply don’t have the b@lls to go up against him or his lackeys in the lege. I’d love to see it though.
Fantasy of accidental b@lls: two bills, one abolishing income tax, the other raises sales tax…first passes, second fails. BJ vetoes first and is overridden. Admittedly low pobability, but your thoughts?
This is also a way to transform the funding of an agency to DOA money. For example, OGB is self-funded. HR has already been consolidated with DOA (offsite). In the new budget, several sections of OGB (including IT) will move to DOA. OGB will now pay DOA for those services. Voila, OGB dollars are now DOA dollars. I don’t believe the price for those services is lower. But maybe that’s just my cynicism showing. Other agencies will also being paying DOA for the IT and other services moved to DOA. Follow the money. This scheme is a way to make following the money more difficult.
Anything charged by DOA is MORE than you can get by going direct to private industry.
