“Over the last four and a half years, we have outperformed the national and southern economies, and in order to continue to attract business investment, we need to stay competitive with the rest of the country and the world.”
–Gov. Piyush Jindal, on signing into law two bills to “increase economic competitiveness” by creating a corporate headquarters relocation program.
What a crock.:-)
And yet I’m worse off now than I was four and a half years ago.
How is continuing to give away the State’s source of revenue to the benefit of business and the detriment of education progressive? What happened to the need for an educated work force to attract industy to our state? Will they still come when they find out we can’t provide workers, or will they just take advantage of the tax breaks and hire outside LA?
He is doing exactly the same thing that Gov. Walker is doing in Wisconsin. The middle and working class and education people tried a recall effort in Wisconsin but were defeated by the billions the right wing party spent to save Gov. Walker’s job. I’m so afraid the same thing would happen in Louisiana if the state employees and teachers would try to oust this little dictator governor of Louisiana.
Well lets start small and work our way up. Recall the lil indians first before taking on the big chief. Wisconson went for the throat and got beat. We need to take the feet out from under ours first. Folks this is gonna be a long battle, don’t get discouraged this soon. We already have a small victory in the fact he didn’t get all of his tyranical laws passed.
