TRUMP ATTACKS ‘FILTHY” RED HEN AFTER SANDERS IS ASKED TO LEAVE
TRUMP: ‘DIRTY’ RESTAURANT NEEDS PAINT JOB
Question: has the Trumpster ever set foot in the Red Hen? If not, how does he know it needs painting or that it is a “dirty” restaurant?
OOPS: SEEMS MAR-A-LAGO HAS ‘DIRTY’ HISTORY
Trumpster brooks no difference of opinion…
DONALD SAYS ‘KNOCK THE CRAP OUT OF THEM’
And they did…
WHAT IT’S LIKE TO GET BEAT UP AT A TRUMP RALLY
’VERY APPROPRIATE FOR SUPPORTERS TO BEAT PROTESTERS’
But the shoe pinches a bit when it’s on the other foot…
TRUMPSTER CAN’T TAKE SAME TREATMENT FROM OTHERS
Full disclosure: Trump supporters also have been attacked by protesters at Trump rallies, but in far fewer instances. Each side points to the other in handing out blame for the loss of civility in our politics and while there are those who will disagree, I, for one, feel that the evidence pretty much points to the Trumpster for instigating a “bigly” share of the violence and what has become a generally ugly debate.
I enjoy your blog and will continue to read them however your periodic vitriolic screeds about Trump are getting a bit much. I get it-he’s an asshole. But I voted for him over Hillary (It beats not voting) and so far he is pretty much doing what I expected he would do. If that makes me a no good &%*$ *%&^#$er in your eyes, then…..meh.Regarding what happened to SHS that started all this nonsense rolling, quite frankly I was pretty offended at the actions taken by their restaurant owner and hope she suffers greatly economically over her actions. Actions, words and elections have consequences, I and a lot of other people sucked it up, bit our tongues and got through the Obama administration in one piece and I expect that you and the rest of the Trump “non-supporters” will weather his administration as well. And you know something…..a LOT of people nationwide share exactly the same sentiments as I, only they just don’t have the balls to go internet with it. I guess that’s why everyone was so shocked when he won(myself included)
Anyway keep up the good fight and maybe you can write something about that Judge down in St. James Parish that got indicted for fooling around with his 15 year old daughter’s friends.
Take Care
Gary
Well, they ain’t gonna stop. Besides, this wasn’t a “screed.” It was Trump in his own words.
Gary, I agree. I guess liberals really hate the fact that unemployment is at a record low. Tax revenues are at a record high, people have more money in their pockets. A nuclear threat is currently being erased. Foreign invaders bent on non-assimilation are being driven back to their countries and big business is bringing billions of dollars back to our shores. In my lifetime, only Presidents Reagan and Trump have put the interests of America above those of their own personal wealth, donors, and other nations.
It’s good to have him in office.
Tax revenues at record highs? Please provide your evidence of that (and please, don’t cite Fox News as your source. Cheerleaders don’t count as sources). How can they be at record highs when a massive tax cut was just passed for the wealthy and corporations (and Trump has just announced plans to cut the corporate rate even more)?
People have more money? Which people? I certainly don’t. Again, cite sources, don’t just regurgitate propaganda provided by Trump, who couldn’t tell the same story twice if his life depended on it.
Big business is bringing billions of dollars back to our shores? Really? Did you ask Harley Davidson about that?
Your hero, Rush Limbaugh has said repeatedly (though he probably won’t say it now) that the economy lags and reactions to one administration’s policies generally don’t show up until some point in the ensuing administration, i.e. Obama inherited a train wreck and went about putting people to work (fact) as the economy began to recover. That economy is now showing up in the first year to Trump’s administration, as evidenced by the steady growth of the stock market during the Obama years and into the present administration. So, you give Trump all the credit for that? Why don’t we wait and see what the tariff wars produce before making any brash statements? I have a feeling the picture won’t be so pretty.
For that matter, it might be wise to wait to see what the agreement with North Korea produces. There already are reports that North Korea is moving forward with development of its nuclear weapons capacity. Doesn’t sound like much has been erased in the way of a threat to me.

And now we have an “America First” president who (a) has a long history of bankruptcies, (b) has a history of not paying contractors, (c) started a bogus “university” that cheated students out of millions of dollars and was under investigation by the state of Florida until he gave a huge campaign contribution to the Florida attorney general who promptly dropped the investigation, (d) has a very cozy relationship with Russians who are at this moment advertising for citizens to purchase condos from Trump and have their babies in America so they can be citizens (fact), (e) appointed a commerce secretary (Wilbur Ross) who headed up the Bank of Cyprus which was and is a major Russian money laundering institution, (f) is systematically dismantling laws and regulations to protect consumers, internet users, the environment, voters, minorities–all in the interests of big business.
Interests of America above those of their own personal wealth, donors and other nations? Hardly.
I could go on, but obviously you don’t want to take your rose-colored glasses off when it comes to this man. You see and hear what you want and choose to ignore what you don’t want to hear (like the above mentioned Trump quotes).
As always, he speaks from personal experience and projects it, as a defense mechanism, on others. Classic DHT.
P. S. Since “H” doesn’t stand for John, can you guess what it does stand for?
We all do. That is our point of reference.
There is a general lack of civility in politics and it pre-dates Trump. One could not complain about Obama without being called a racist. Obamas’ policies in foreign affairs were a catastrophe; Iran. Syria, North Korea, Russia, China. He interfered in elections in Israel (ironic, isn’t it), He simply led from behind. Trump is as opposite as possible.
As for Trump, he is loud, bombastic, and some would say, a bully. He does get results. By every measure, things have improved since his election. He is correct on trade issues as well. We have given our economy away to third world countries by allowing cheap labor and tariffs to place us at a competitive disadvantage.
We subsidize the United Nations, and underwrite the defenses of the world allowing other countries to focus on economy, not military. This must stop. How Trump goes about this could certainly be more diplomatic, but is necessary.
Trump will get another term simply because the Democrat Party has no one of note and the party has no message except “we do not like Trump”. I am a lifelong democrat, but more of the Jack (John) Kennedy democrat ilk. The current party is composed of largely socialist point of view; government is the solution mentality. How is that working Louisiana ?
We should all try and get along; certainly voice opposing views, but support our President and country.I do not want this country to be European, South American or worse..What is wrong with a good economy, strong military presence, worldwide peace ?
Tom thank you for your private reply. Civil discourse should be the norm, and it is here. I sent you that link to Judge Perriloux. Well this makes my two replies so I’m done with this thread!!!
In my former career as an attorney, I came to understand the practice of ‘demonizing’ one’s opponent in litigation. Thus, by thinking of your opposing attorney or his client OR BOTH as the vilest sorts of excrement, then you felt it was your due to not only view them as vile, but to expect that they would engage in the worst sorts of behavior and you were therefore liberated to respond in kind.
Watching this president is an experience in ‘demonizing.’ If one says something he dislikes, he responds viciously. If Harley Davidson (for God’s Sake) dares to move parts of it’s Made in America operation to Europe to avoid the inevitable results of Trump’s tariff war, then now Harley Davidson is scum and they deserve what they get.
Tom is perfectly right to point out to his readers that the President is engaging in lies, personal attacks and is generally lowering the level of civil discourse to a point where some of us thought we would never go.
Right on, Tom!
So, some of us are offended by Trump’s demonizing, but perfectly okay with CNN using pictures from another era (Obama’s) to demonize Trump., TIME magazine doing similar with its’ cover, Madonna “dream of blowing up the White House, J. Depp wondering when was last time an actor killed a President (Lincoln), picketing people at a restaurant, and evicting others, even following them down street to another establishment, Antifa, Congresswomen urging more of same, Peter Fonda wanting to place children of Trump in a cage with pedophiles, Tom Arnold wanting to follow Trump’s children to harass them at school, and the list goes on and on. Look, Hillary lost, and she should have. I totally agree with Gary. Enough of this phony outrage.
And to George, Trump also asked them to be patient. Trump plays a game with his opposition in case you have not noticed. Remember “Rocket Man” and I have a bigger button etc. Got North Korea to the table for the first time. Same will be true of tariffs. Surely you do not believe it is okay for Germany (E.U.) to have a 25% tariff on our cars while we have a 2.5 % on theirs?!?
For the record, Zoe, I do not approve of the Time cover or of CNN’s use of Obama-era visuals. But I also do not approve of Trump using tactics to incite his followers to violence and then crying foul when those same tactics are used against him. So please, don’t invoke actions and words of clowns like Madonna, Depp, Tom Arnold and Peter Fonda. Those people are about as connected to the real world as Trump. And once you go down that rabbit hole, it becomes a never-ending game of he-said, she-said. For every example one side throws up, the other side counters with two and the insults just keep coming.
You’ve shown by your comments that you’re an intelligent person, so just don’t fall into that trap.
My point was, both sides are guilty of poor manners and total lack of culture. I have never seen our media so involved and one-sided as it is currently. I strongly resent that, and Tom, I am pretty sure you do not condone the media involving itself for a particular side. I so miss the days of Walter Cronkite, Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, John Chancellor, etc.(all liberals) who simply reported news and did not inflict us with their personal beliefs. Those days are long gone, and we are left with people who cannot report news without inflicting their opinion (as if we are too stupid to decide for ourselves). One only had to watch the news on election night when Hillary lost. The long faces were evident. As long as the networks employ such people I feel the divide will become greater. and civility will remain in our past.
Walter Cronkite, Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, John Chancellor, etc.(all liberals) … try watching network news instead of cable news…
Um…Not sure what you mean here. Each of those was a network news reporter/anchor. Neither worked for a cable news channel. Huntley and Chancellor with NBC their entire careers, Brinkley with NBC (mostly) and later ABC. Cronkite CBS.
It is unfortunate “news”, with the exception of public broadcasting, has become entertainment and public broadcasting has what most consider a liberal bias. However, I believe most of the negative reporting about the president results from his own negative behavior. I, too, wish the media would simply let his words and actions speak for themselves and leave us free to decide what we think. If nothing else, he is the most out front president we have ever had. We don’t need a filter through which to view him, nor an analysis of what he says and does. It is right there for all to see.
Zoe, I didn’t fact check your posts, but I think you believe the brain washing or fantasyland fake news presented by conservative “news” sources. They are the only ones with one sided “reporting”.
By the way, accurately reporting Trump’s astoundingly frequent mis-statements of fact is not picking on him. And “By every measure, things have improved since his election.” is ridiculous. He has done his best to take health care away from needy US citizens, he has ballooned the deficit/debt by reducing taxes mostly for those who least need it and has started a trade war that is already costing US jobs. And this is hardly a comprehensive list.
One sure sign of legitimate news is if they fire people who lie. One example is NBC/MSNBC who took Brian Williams off the evening news, He didn’t even distort actual news, but exaggerating his own experiences impaired his credibility and justified a demotion in the opinion of news division management.
When someone tell you who they are, believe them. DJT, has told us in his own words, who he is….for decades.
Great comments/article Tom and Mr. Winham. However, how we “view” or see comes from training to recognize our basic Fears, Ignorance, and prejudices. I am thankful I can still learn. love always ron thompson
