Can we dream that maybe, just maybe, legislators regardless of party affiliation will expose Jindal for what he really is and help to defeat him in his reelection bid. I just don’t know if LA can afford another 4 years of his mismanagement, unethical behavior, and incompetence.
I don’t think Jindal is incompetent. I believe he is a fanatic ideologue who has absolutely no compassion for lower level government bureaucrats even if they are conscientious and hard working . He has surrounded himself with sycophants and yes men /women and hopes to be on his way to bigger things in Washington. He exemplifies egoism and selfishness to the fullest degree. I wonder what Huey and Earl would think of this so-called Louisianian?
Ho Ho Ho, let’s get real people:)
Jindal’s positions on the tobacco tax continuation and privatization of the OGB PPO prove Tujague’s point that he places ideology above all else. The house vote on the veto override, particularly as it relates to people who voted for the bill originally then voted against the override, shows too many of our state representatives lack the guts to be independent and exercise their constitutional powers and responsibilities.
Like his political godfather, Mike Foster, Jindal seems to view most of humanity as beneath him intellectually and otherwise and, thus, worthy of subjugation at best and utter disregard at worst.
We need a lot more Ernest Wootens and John Bel Edwardses when the elections roll around. I’d like to hope they’re out there somewhere. Ho, ho, ho.
