Now would seem a pretty good time for John N. Kennedy to begin disassociating himself with one Donald J. Trump and the now critically wounded MAGGOT movement.
It might also be an opportune time for the Louisiana Democratic Party to begin collecting a record of Kennedy’s vote to confirm such lunatics as Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Pete Hegseth, Pam Bondi, Kristi Noem, Todd Blanche, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick—in all, 22 FAVORABLE VOTES and not a single no (of course, he was not alone among weak-kneed Republicans—Bill Cassidy also came through on all 22—but Kennedy is the only one left standing of immediate concern to Louisiana voters).
Kennedy also consistently voted against the IRAN WAR POWERS RESOLUTION, which advocated reining in Trump’s military actions against Iran—a war Americans opposed, as reflected in the results of the midterm elections.
And while they’re going about harvesting Kennedy’s voting record, Democrats might also wish to start mining video records of Kennedy’s subservient behavior when questioning nominees or witnesses hauled before Senate committees. Remember when he triumphantly held up that poster of Jack Smith ostensibly attending an Atlanta Hawks game when in reality, Smith was in Maryland attending an Iowa Hawkeye game. That was a beautiful thing indeed. Turns out he didn’t know Jack Schmitt–and neither did Sen. Eric Schmitt.

It’ll be fun watching political ads in 2028 featuring Kennedy, with a straight face, asking Jack Smith, “Do you believe in the Easter bunny?”
Who knows? Maybe he’ll even finally drink that weed killer.
But in all seriousness, as Trump’s base begins to crumble even further over the next couple of years, you’re going to see Kennedy emerge as a totally different person—no longer the dedicated MAGGOT expressing undying devotion to a failed president.
If there is one thing that John N. Kennedy is skilled at, it’s bending with the political winds.
