I’d not thought of this possibility before but maybe Melissa Flournoy (who was a guest on Talk Louisiana this a. m.) has a point in being concerned about Cassidy’s health. She didn’t specify physical or mental, but my impression was the latter is his problem. He has certainly exhibited some bizarre behavior.

I have no evidence, just my opinion that Cassidy is not stupid or mentally ill. That leaves retirement to a high paying lobbying job, or corporate board seats, as a more likely incentive for his Blanche vote.
