Homeland Security, ICE or Proud Boys? Hard to say.

ICE agents face off against domestic terrorists in Minneapolis

Watch out! He may have a camera!

Doesn’t matter if they are in their underwear and it’s cold! Round ’em up!

Sure look like terrorists to me. The worst of the worst.

murders in the US fall to the lowest rates since 1900Incorrect. The rate of decline in murders was larger in 2025 than in any year since 1900, supposedly. But that’s not the “murder rate.” It’s the rate of decline in the murders. And what do you mean by that statement, anyway? Are you suggesting that smashing car windows to snatch and zip-tie a five year old is reducing the murder rate?
Understanding Crime Statistics: Rate of Decline: This refers to how much the number of murders has decreased compared to previous years. A significant decline does not necessarily reflect the absolute number of murders being low; it only indicates that fewer murders are occurring than in prior years. Murder Rate: This is usually calculated as the number of murders per 100,000 population. It’s essential to analyze this figure to understand the actual safety context.
When mentioning figures or labeling individuals (like calling someone a “Fascist”), context is crucial: Labeling someone as a “Fascist” often reflects a broader commentary on their policies or behavior rather than a direct correlation with crime statistics. Actions that cause harm or instill fear can influence community perceptions of safety, regardless of technical statistics on murder rates. This complex interplay of numbers and behaviors highlights the importance of interpreting data with a comprehensive understanding of social dynamics and contextual factors.
In 2025, the murder rate in the United States exhibited a significant decline from previous years. Decline in Homicides (2024-2025) – 21% lower (approx. 922 fewer homicides). Murder Rate Compared to 2019 – 25% lower. Estimated Murder Rate in 2025 – approximately 4 per 100,000 residents. Statistically without name calling irrational personal attacks the year 2025 has the lowest murder rate since 1900.
So you agree you misquoted the statistic in your original comment. And you didn’t bother responding to the question of what you mean by it. Thanks for playing.
Based on my internet research, the “…2025 has the lowest murder rate since 1900 is not correct in two respects. First, the murder rate didn’t increase to over 4 per 100,000 until 1906 or 1907. But that is kind of quibbling when you consider that one source noted the statistics significantly undercounted crimes back then. A little more significant is that the murder rate was at, or near, 4 per 100,000 for several years in the mid 1950s and the 2025 figure is a preliminary estimate.
I am also curious why mosckerr brought up fascism when it wasn’t mentioned anywhere else in the post or comments. I see no basis for trying to relate fascism with murder rates. My impression from that paragraph is that you are trying to sound intellectual.
My views on fascism are very simple, if not 100% technically correct: Leadership by a fascist, dictator, king, authoritarian, or strong man are all essentially the same in that there is no rule of law. The leader, and their people, can do anything they want to do. When explained simply, combined with the history of what happens to people when they lose the rights and protections U.S. citizens have, I believe most people have a strong preference for a constitution and laws.
Totally agree!!!
