From the rumor mill: Early word is Kim Mulkey is already fed up with our new governor and is seeking the exit door. Might she next pop up in Fayetteville or Knoxville?
Could Jeff Landry’s grandstanding over the National Anthem be the straw that might break the camel’s back. Stay tuned.

It’s the governor, not the coach that needs to go.
I don’t believe Mulkey is ready to leave LSU over this issue though, if it happened, I wouldn’t be shocked. But she wouldn’t be any better off in Fayetteville or Knoxville. She’d have to deal with clueless, short-sighted, self-righteous culture warriors manufacturing divisive issues in Arkansas and Tennessee, too. That’s all the MAGA fascists have to offer, here or in any other state.
This wouldn’t surprise me at all. She deserves better from a Governor. Landry should accept to be Trump’s Vice-President. That way, when he loses, he’ll be gone! With everything that’s wrong with Louisiana, THIS is what he wants to spend his time and good will on? It’s TRUMP on a state level.
Something is happening out there. Why would Van Lith enter the transfer portal?
I don’t have any inside scoop but in my opinion van Lith is not a natural point guard. I admire her transferring in to learn what she could from Mulkey, who certainly gave her every opportunity for experience. But her game is better suited to creating her own shot off the dribble. That’s not what LSU needs. I thought the offense ran much smoother when Poa was at the point. I don’t think it would have helped van Lith’s future prospects to play another season at LSU.
Yep, she did look uncomfortable.
According to Mulkey, you were on point.
van Lith is an excellent player in her own right. But it’s not enough to deliver the pass when you see the player open. A true point guard sees the player open before she becomes open and delivers the pass as she becomes open. Poa was better at that. LSU has scorers returning – Johnson, Williams, Morrow, and Smith coming back from injury. What they need is someone to deliver the ball. On time. My bet is they’ll have a high scoring offense next year.
I wondered the very same as Clifford about Van Lith and still do. I also agree with Paul, however, I believe we are also overrun with MAGAlites here. We just don’t notice it as much in southeast Louisiana. I sincerely hope Mulkey stays here and believe she will unless Landry derails her hope for a new, palatial arena. In that regard, I fully agree with brbobapplegate.
Kim Mulkey isn’t going anywhere. Like usual, this is fake news.
Well, if you could comprehend the written word, it did say it was a rumor.
trust me, she’s been divorced from her kids dad for some time, she’s not about to run from this corrupt idiot Landry either, if she had a bare knuckle fight with Landry, she’d probably put him in the hospital. She’s here until she retires or end of contract which runs thru 2033 worth $36 million.
Should any Louisianian think that ANYONE is thinking of moving to LouIsiana then one should understand that it is even more probable that persons that have lived outside of Louisiana would be willing to leave. Still doubtful? Ask yourself just where do the last several presidents of LSU live when these people have enough money to live anywhere they choose.
