All five Republican members of Louisiana’s House delegation voted for Gym Jordan for Speaker and Troy Carter joined the other 211 Democrats to vote for Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
The good news is no one as yet has voted for Clay Higgins as Speaker.

Scalise voting for Jordan is just sad. Is there anything Scalise really believes in? He doesn’t believe in the Constitution or democracy. He proved that supporting Trump’s stolen election lies and voting to reject legitimately certified electors. He doesn’t believe in conservatism, except tax cuts, because he threw all those principles under the Trump bus. And now he doesn’t believe in the “Republican” party. Despite being humiliated by Jordan Scalise is voting for a man with zero legislative accomplishments in sixteen years of holding office, who is better known for blowing up deals than making them, who has no history of fundraising for his party, and who has refused to come clean about his involvement in crimes for which others have been indicted. Scalise has caved to the fascist mob. He’s certainly not alone. But there are yet a few with at least one or two principles remaining. Will they prove truer than Scalise and his ilk? Or will they cave, too? Stay tuned.

Well, Congressman Mike Johnson has been to the Holy land with Jordan, they took their wives and that clearly qualifies Johnson to be Speaker. Praise God! according to a newsletter I get from Mrs. Julia, they attend meetings together to “praise God”. It would appear to me, Woody Jenkins, Mike Johnson, and Jordan should be indicted, with Trump who claims he is Jesus Christ ?? I am staying tuned and thanks for your thoughts!
