There’s about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party.”
—Former U.S. Rep. Allen West (R-Florida), at a town hall meeting, April 2012 [Does this claim sound vaguely familiar? Think Wheeling, West Virginia, February 1950]
There’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take this global cabal of Satan-worshiping pedophiles out.”
—QAnon supporter Marjorie Taylor-Greene, who recently won election to Georgia’s 14th Congressional District.
Another example of why it is prudent to let the process run its course: Thousands of Uncounted Votes Found a Week After Election in Puerto Rico.”
—Tweet by U.S. Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), who has a fondness for inappropriately-placed capital letters. […and little knowledge of the fact that Puerto Rico does not vote in presidential elections.]
Our government wasn’t set up for one group to have all three branches of government — wasn’t set up that way. You know, the House, the Senate, and the executive.”
—Former Auburn football coach and U.S. Sen.-elect Tommy Tuberville (R-Alabama). [Tommy, you probably should take a civics refresher course before you assume office.]
And all this time, I thought Clay Higgins was dumb as a can of hair. Turns out he’s got plenty of company.
Ignorance is bliss to the ignorant, but dangerous for everybody else when the ignorant are in power.
Mr. Winham: and, even more danger abounds with the Willfully Ignorant vote for the ignorant repeatedly…which seems to explain our current problem!
I would only add to your sentence “and voted in by ignorant and brainwashed voters” defined by Webster as “destitute of knowledge or education.” But if the limit of your knowledge and education is gained only by watching Fox and Newsmax, how can anyone become anything but a low information voter and cult follower venerating a con artist? It’s simply not going to happen. And thus, “the ignorant are in power.” But, at last, come January 20, 2021, NOT IN THE WHITE HOUSE. Yahoooooooooo…
Realizing the most I can hope for is a tick on a sheet keeping track of people who oppose them, I sent this message to our U. S. Senators Chastity and Kornpone this morning:
Your blind support of an unhinged President is not only irresponsible but also dangerous. I realize you will not actually read this, but hopefully a member of your staff will put it on a tick sheet you might one day see. You continue to ignore the dangers facing this country by your silence on the person occupying the White House. As you know, this goes way beyond personality or policy issues – the man is a loose cannon who seems hell bent on bringing this country to its knees during his remaining weeks in office and you and other members of your party are doing nothing to stop him. I assume you show tacit support because you believe your re-election or election to another office hinge on the irrational support of this president by some 58% of Louisianans – a segment you consider essential to your continued power in elected office. I sincerely hope you are wrong about this and that you are soundly defeated in any future election to any office. How dare you put your and your party’s power above every thing that is decent and sacred, including the sanctity of the United States of America and the life of its citizens.
Every day Sen Kornpone looks more and more like a Mime or French clown with his ridiculous white makeup and tinted red lips. He has zero excuse for the whacked and flat out wrong things he spouts. He has an education which I believe he actually earned with some type of merit and work. Is money and temporary power that intoxicating? I hope selling out our country, State and his soul proves worth it to him.
