I have always been committed to working with our President, regardless of party, in order to best serve the people of Louisiana.”
—Gov. John Bel Edwards, demonstrating the way real leadership is carried out […and the reason we elected him.]
I believe the media is (sic) the enemy of the American people.”
—Karl Michels of Walker, Louisiana, among a group of protesters at the State Capitol Saturday. [showing unmistakable symptoms of sour grapes – and revealing, sadly, that we are still a divided nation that refuses to come together for the good of the country.]
So ridiculous. Donald must work on his Anger Management problem, then go to a good old-fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Donald, Chill!”
—Tweet Thursday by Greta Thunberg, showing that trash-talking really can come back to bite you. [See Saturday’s LouisianaVoice post.]
Greta is definitely DJT’s superior. I realize that isn’t saying much, so I should say she is a hell of a lot of people’s superior.
Mr. Winham….I was thinking the same thing about Greta….so sad that none of our Republican elected “public servants” have voiced any rebuke of Trump’s childishly dangerous behavior. And, Tom is right about JBE, also!
Some of the kooky excuses being made by Trump supporters for his loss are downright spooky. Like him, they apparently are unable to process losing and therefore coming up with out of this world reasons for his loss. As I listen to some of them I can only shake my head and wonder about their sanity.
“Like him…” – the most salient phrase in your excellent post. As I listen to them, I am sickened by their cruel delusions – aberrant beliefs they will continue to reinforce among themselves.
A religious person might quote Jesus: “Forgive them, Father, for they know not what they do.” I would not say that because they are willfully ignorant.
From what I could see on tv and the Advocate, attendance at that event at the Capitol was not very large.
