Notice what those cities have in common: They’re all Democrat cities. What are they saying with this boarding up and the civil unrest they’re expecting? They’re saying if you don’t choose the left’s chosen candidate, we will send the left out to attack you. That’s as close to extortion as you can get and Joe Biden has the power to say ‘Stand down’ to the mob but will he do it? This is all the proof you need that the left should not be given federal power. We deserve the great American tradition of democracy, of peaceful elections, of accepting the vote of the American people, but the boarded-up windows, the closed down stores, tell you all you need to know about the modern American left. The violence is unacceptable and they are not deserving of federal power.”
—White House Precious Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, in her successful attempt to make David Duke sound like the voice of reason and restraint. [Wasn’t it Trump himself who told the Proud Boys to :
Stand back and stand by.” [Your response Kayleigh? Kayleigh? Precious?]
I don’t think it’s fair that we have to wait for a long period of time after the election. As soon as the election is over – we’re going in with our lawyers.”
—Donald Trump, confirming that he plans to declare victory early and then prepare his legal fight. [Kayleigh? Kayleigh?
“In my opinion, these patriots did nothing wrong. Instead, the FBI & Justice should be investigating the terrorists, anarchists, and agitators of ANTIFA, who run around burning down our Democrat run cities and hurting our people!”
—Donald Trump tweet in response to incident where his supporters ran a Biden campaign buss off the road in Texas. [And therein lies the problem, folks: Trump sees everything through a lens that deflects fault from himself and onto everyone else.]
They were protecting their bus yesterday because they’re ‘nice.’”
—Trump, joking about Biden’s bus being forced off the road in Texas on Saturday. [Kayleigh, I can’t hear you.]
These Trump ‘caravans’ disrupting traffic and putting motorists at risk are pathetic, juvenile, and dangerous. This thuggish behavior is not the American way. Everybody needs to say that. I’m happy I just did.”
—Dan Rather.
The minimum number was 100,000 lives, and I think we’ll be substantially under that number.”
—Donald Trump on April 10, predicting fewer than 100,000 Americans would die of the coronavirus. [As of today, that number is more than 231,000 U.S. deaths from the virus.]
Don Jr. dismisses coronavirus deaths: ‘The number is almost nothing’ My childhood friend died from Covid so now his two teenage sons have no father but to Don Jr that’s ‘nothing.’ This is a vile family!!”
—Tweet by Dean Obeidallah in response to Junior’s minimizing 1,047 Covid deaths the previous day. [Proof once again that the nut doesn’t fall far from the tree.]
“As I look across America today, I’m concerned. The country is in a dangerous place. Our trust in each other is ebbing. Hope seems elusive. [The country] has too bright a future to leave it shipwrecked on the shoals of anger and hate and division.”
—Joe Biden, speaking (appropriately) in Gettysburg last week.
Hopefully, calmer, rational heads will prevail.
“They’re saying if you don’t choose the left’s chosen candidate, we will send the left out to attack you.”
McEnany has descended into the abyss of baseless insane ranting like her boss. She made these truly unhinged statements on a Fox show – apparently the interviewer neglected to ask her what cities maintain a standing army that will attack people and how anyone knows who voted for whom. These remarks qualify her for a spot in a mental health facility. Propaganda and lies are one thing, truly insane BS is quite another. She is a disgrace to the communications profession. That BS from Georgetown University takes on a whole new meaning. I wonder if Harvard Law is considering repudiating her as a graduate. So hoping she disappears from the public discourse on Jan. 21.
Agree 100% with Earthmother’s analysis of the first item. Unfortunately, the Trump base will treat her words like mother’s milk. For what it’s worth, Trump now claims he will not declare victory early-not that anything he says can ever be trusted.
OK voters..the day of commitment has arrived! If one can overlook the rhetoric of both sides, you can now cast your ballot for the future of our republic.
Our founding fathers spent years devising a government where its citizens had equal representation ( thus the electoral college ) to maintain stability in our republic, yet some now are attempting to devise a strategy to overturn the hard work and insight of those that wrote and fought for our original constitution. Regardless of weather or not one despises the current President, looking beyond semantics and bluster for the core ideals of our nation would appear prudent.
Before you vote to detach your nation from capitalism, consider the consequences of socialism. Look toward Cuba, Venezuela, or any number of failed social systems before you pull that level…for that is what you will leave your children.
I am not voting to detach our nation from capitalism. I am voting to return it to a balance when human beings had worth, per se, and were worth saving/helping. In our own cities you can see the effects of poverty and, worse, homelessness. We are a rich country and we should do better in providing quality education and health care to our citizens so they have a chance of succeeding. If they need help doing so, we should give it to them. To sum it up, I am voting in hope of our country becoming more like enlightened European (and other countries), not like the corrupt countries who pretend to be socialist, but are really simply despotic in all respects.
Electoral college is totally NOT for “equal representation” and I’ll bet even you know that. Not everyone’s vote counts the same and it’s relic for states’ rights which over 200 years of history show is where the vast bulk of oppression, tyranny and injustice actually comes from in this nation, except for the internment of Japanese and some other exceptions.
Typical… still preaching the garbage being circulated on social media. This election has nothing to do with socialism, and your representation of the EC is off the mark by miles. This election is about decency and your candidate is devoid of it.
It’s amazing that any concept that aligns with the teachings and characteristics of Christ are used in a bullying context as “SOCIALISM”.
P.S. I have nothing against people becoming rich and often wish I was rich, but how much is enough? Consider that there are 12 million millionaires in the United States. Nowadays, they may not necessarily be considered wealthy, particularly the ones with only a couple of million. On the other hand, there are 788 U. S. billionaires with wealth ranging from 1 to 179 billion (Bezos). Consider that 1 billion = 1,000 million.
If you had $1 billion after taxes, and you bought 5 estates around the world, one super yacht, 8 luxury cars, and took 4 top-end world tours, what would you do with the $100 million you had left? Or, if you were Jeff Bezos, the $177,100,000,000 you had left? Before you say, “I would invest it in my business and put people to work.”, ask yourself how would you then still have the money?
70 years ago, our country’s tax system favored re-investments in business and the healthy economy such investments and growth generated, including jobs. Now it favors the accumulation of wealth. How does the accumulation of individual wealth help our economy or its people? How, really, does it even help the person who accumulates it?
The $100 million our hypothetical billionaire had left after funding his extravagant lifestyle could pay the salaries of some 1,400 people, Bezo’s leftover could pay the salaries of some 2,500,000 people.
I’m not going to quote Bernie Sanders, but I think anybody can see what I’m talking about and it isn’t Robin Hood.

We have all wasted our times responding to Outlaw53 who has, no doubt, moved on to paste his message elsewhere. Maybe s/he at least fixed the usage errors.
We do feel better, though.
