“I haven’t been dealing with him for a very long period of time. I don’t like that project. I thought it was being done for showboating reasons.”
—Donald Trump, disavowing (Mission Impossible-style) any connection to the private funding project run by former adviser Steve Bannon and claiming (Donald Trump-style) that he hardly knows has had little contact with Bannon.
“[P]rivate enterprise at its finest. Doing it better, faster, cheaper than anything else,”
—Donald Trump, Jr., speaking at a symposium hosted by the group in New Mexico in 2019. [Oops. But like daddy, Donnie will try to weasel his way out of tight spots. Read on.]
“His previous praise of the group was based on what he was led to believe about their supposed intention to help build the wall on the southern border and if he and others were deceived, the group deserves to be held accountable for their actions,”
—Donald Trump, Jr. spokesperson Amanda Miller, in trying to distance Donnie from Bannon’s scheme. [Have you ever seen cockroaches scramble for cover when you turn the lights on in a room?]
“Why in the world would the president not kick Q’anon supporters’ butts? Nut jobs, rascists (sic), haters have no place in either party.”
—Jeb Bush (R-Florida) tweet, Aug. 19, 2020.
“QAnon is a dangerous lunacy that should have no place in American politics.”
—Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming), on Thursday. [But don’t you see? They love Trump and that makes them “very fine people,” just like those white supremacists in Charlottesville.]
I hope he’s connected to it. And i hope the postal cops get to bust him.

“Why in the world would the president not kick Q’anon supporters’ butts? Nut jobs, rascists (sic), haters have no place in either party.” Jeb Bush.
Well he is correct, but let’s address the Republican party since we are speaking of nutters. This article pretty well sums it up.

As I’m sure you know, these quotes (like others before them) constitute casting pearls before swine (and the rest of us). I am certainly not suggesting you stop because publishing them definitely hardens our position.
The following piece by Michael Moore is worth the read. Much of his plan is beyond possibility and a lot of it makes me, for one, wonder that since his suggestions would ordinarily only be necessary in a 3rd world country, how it is possible President Trump’s supporters could be so blind as to not see it.

I really don’t have to wonder too much, though. A person married to one of my nieces observed about Biden’s speech last night that Biden is incapable of putting together thoughts he does not read word for word from a script – and that he does so poorly (who does that really sound like?). He apparently did not see the speech and, to be honest, I don’t plan to watch Trump’s acceptance speech next week. The difference is I will not give a critique of it. Just as he would have gained nothing from Biden’s speech, I would gain nothing from Trump’s – All further proof the divide in this country will be exceedingly hard to heal. Facts no longer matter, only ideology.
Fayette, you “hope” the President is connected to some scam ??? Speaks volumes. You hope your President is performing shady or illegal activity ?
CJ, I do not profess to be up on Q’anon, but this is USA, we have fringe people ( like AOC and the squad) who have every right to express their thoughts, whether you and I concur. What makes Q’anon have followers is there is some truth IE. Epstein Pedophile Island being visited by celebrities such as former President and 1st “Lady”, by actors etc. Jeb, like Romney, is bitter because he was outsmarted by Trump, and Trump won and they did not.
Stephen, I agree with several points you raised; convention is nothing more than a rally to the troops. I did watch a bit and was saddened by much; Using Bill Clinton to give a lecture on morals and behavior in the Oval Office !! Several transgender racists ? Hillary actually saying Trump may not accept outcome of election while she, 4 years later is still disputing outcome !
Then, I question you about Mike Moore article. First, I think Mike is an intelligent person. I totally disagree with regard to his pushing for (socialism) government run, “non-profit” health care. I also disagree with “state owned banks”. As for public funds for elections – who decides who gets taxpayer funding ? I do agree that lobbying should be addressed. I would want a strong ethics law that prohibits ANY ex-congressman or Military person to lobby for 10 full years after retirement. Violation would strip their pension immediately and some jail should be involved.
And Biden is incapable. He is not healthy and should not be running. We all know that. I do agree that Trump does better off script. I do not like to watch him read a transcript. Obama is the total opposite; he reads well but does not ad lib well at all
I wonder who will be a candidate 4 years from now in the post Trump era. Will the Democrat Party keep heading left towards socialism ? Will Republicans go further right ? And I have said many times on this blog that the divide is getting harder and harder to reconcile.
“And I have said many times on this blog that the divide is getting harder and harder to reconcile.”
Zoe, something I think we all can all agree on.
Mr. Fayette has been zoed. Welcome to an ever-expanding club.
Was it good for you, Mr. Fayette?
He probably needed a cigarette after that one.
Yep, Fayette, welcome to the club.
Thank you Cliff. That is the most civil thing you have ever said to me !
Zoe, I don’t recall ever being uncivil to you.
