“You don’t want to live with them either.”
—Donald Trump, in deposition during Justice Department’s 1973 lawsuit against Trump Management Co., alleging racial bias in housing. The lawsuit was later settled by consent decree signed by the Trump Management Co. [But how can that be? Trump’s “the least racist person in the world.” He said so.]
“She was over her head, and frankly she should’ve made the speech live, which she didn’t do,” Trump said during a White House event commemorating the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage. “She taped it. It was taped a long time ago because she had the wrong deaths. She didn’t even mention the vice-presidential candidate in the speech.”
—Trump, on Michelle Obama’s speech for the Democratic virtual convention. [Rather ironic that Trump would cite “the wrong deaths,” given that they all occurred on his watch.]
“Someone find me Michelle Obama’s VOTE necklace immediately please; I need to wear it every day for the rest of my life.”
—Amanda Litman tweet, Aug. 17, 2020, 9:49 p.m.
“I’ve heard these are people that love our country and they just don’t like seeing it. So I don’t know really anything about it other than they do supposedly like me and they also would like to see problems in these areas, like especially in the areas that we’re talking about, go away.”
—Donald Trump, on the fringe group QAnon’s support of his presidency after several QAnon supporters won their primary elections for congress.
“Well I haven’t heard that, but is that supposed to be a bad thing or a good thing?”
—Trump, on being told that QAnon’s theory that he is “secretly saving the world from a Satanic cult of pedophiles and cannibals” that Democrats are a child-selling cabal, that JFK Jr. faked his death to help Trump (someone please explain that one to me), that school shootings and the 9/11 attacks were all faked (that the victims were actors), and that online retailer Wayfair sells children along with its furniture. [Have we lost all perspective in this country? These people are serious and they’re no longer wearing tin foil hats; they’re running for and winning elective office. Have we gone mad?]
“From the moment President Trump took office, he’s used his position to benefit himself rather than our country. He’s trampled the rule of law, tried to weaponize the Justice Department to attack his enemies and protect his friends.”
—Former acting attorney general Sally Yates, speaking at the virtual Democratic National Convention on Tuesday.
Well just add this to his QAnon support.
We wake up this morning and read that ANOTHER tRump henchman, Steve Bannon, President Trump’s former White House chief strategist, has been indicted along with three others for their roles in defrauding donors related to a $25 million fundraising campaign to build a wall along the southern border. Now we know why Geoffrey S. Berman, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York was fired in June. And I’m sure there are other investigations taking place that tRump and Bill Barr want to cover up that are taking place by the SDNY.
But not too worry, by the time the trial takes place and Bannon is sentenced, both tRump and Barr will be out of office and no pardons will take place.
Goodness, I forgot. Lost in all the hustle and bustle of this week’s news is the bipartisan report from the Senate Republican controlled Intelligence Committee comes the news that Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign sought and maintained close contacts with Russian government officials who were helping him get elected. At any other time this would have been front page in all the newspapers in the country. As the New York Times editorial says, “’Cooperation” or ‘collusion’ or whatever. It was a plot against American democracy.”
But her emails. 🤦🏻♀️
CJG, did you read or hear Rubio’s statement about the report? It was so off base that Sen. Angus King from Maine said that Rubio must have read a different report. Mind you, he is an Independent who also served on the Senate select committee.
Yes indeed.

I am still amazed at all this “collusion” garbage. I have yet to see a single vote exposed that was changed because of Russian influence. Not one person has ever revealed that they were influenced in any way.
If the Russians do have information from alleged hacking, like say Hillary’s deleted (while under subpoena) emails, I for one would love to see them. I think we all have a pretty good idea what she was hiding.
https://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2020/aug/18/senate-intelligence-cmte-no-collusion-trump-russia/?fbclid=IwAR2N9MLUrOkyZvloSJS70uQzLhKyjxsi9MTCsyS8UvKk9JH5Eh4QBQXKpoI Slightly different take than NYT.
And I am certain you all know results of Mueller report as well. Zero collusion.
And we all know Hillary spent millions on Russian operatives to fabricate “opposition research”. That is collusion, and Cliff, you don’t want to discuss that. And BTW Cliff, remember the “dead mike” when Obama told Russian to tell Putin he could work with them after his re-election?
And, BTW, Obama apparently does not want to live by “them” either judging by his home(s) locations (with walls).
As for the QANON (?)whomever that might be….we do know Uncle Bill spent time with underage girls and perhaps did more than a back massage. Ditto for the very upstanding actor Bob Deniro Pedophiles are real and disgusting. That is true. Several Hollywood actors have acknowledged that they were molested and that this is widespread in Hollywood. Who knows ? There might be something to it, or it may be overstated. Time will tell. And really, wouldn’t you want this revealed if it is, in fact true ?
Zoe, by your persistent replies in support of the con man who occupies the White House, you prove every single time that votes were influenced. Every time you refuse to see the light, to see the con man for what he is even while he tells us who and what he is every single time he opens his mouth, you are proving that votes were influenced.
Mueller’s report did not exonerate the con man. This latest bipartisan report does not exonerate the con man.
Remind me again, who was it that said “I just grab them by the p#&*$y”?
Kitty: You are forgetting your George Bernard Shaw.
Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~ George Bernard Shaw.
Thanks for the reminder, neighbor Steve.
