P. S. Read today’s news. Look at the video where Trump, in defending opening schools said, “Chidren are virtually immune.” Then read articles from credible sources saying the exact opposite and even talking about the efficiency with which they can spread the disease. If you don’t consider that irresponsible and dangerous, you do not live in my world.
It is also interesting to note that the school his youngest son attends is not opening for in person classes. Obviously, it’s okay to expose our children and teachers but not his. THAT is what his devoted followers don’t seem to understand. He cares not one iota about them or their families or their lives or their livelihoods. They are pawns in his game to get what HE wants, to get more power. I just want to slap them into reality like Cher did in Moonstruck. “Snap out of it!” Full disclosure: I would NEVER resort to nor advocate for violence of any kind.
…and don’t forget that he has acknowledged that part of his staff is being tested multiple times daily with the fastest results available; but we’re being tested too much and it’s messing up his numbers.
One thing that Trumpism has shown us is how many of our fellow Americans are subject to mind control (brainwashing) to the extent that they seem lost forever to sane, researched truths. What we haven’t learned is how to organize, work together for the common goal of restoring and repairing our democracy in the aftermath of a defeated Trump. We shall see, if Biden wins, whether or not Democrats can do the hard work….but, I have faith that they will try their best and we should all be asking ourselves what can we do to help…to be continued and hopefully there will be put in place “guard rails” to see that never again can a “Trump President” rape and pillage our democracy! Onward!

“Facebook and Twitter announced Wednesday that they have removed a video of President Trump shared on his Facebook page and Twitter account because it contained “false claims” about the coronavirus. The video was a clip of a phone interview Mr. Trump did with Fox News on Wednesday morning in which he pushed for schools to reopen for in-person learning and falsely claimed children are “almost immune” to the virus.
Facebook, along with Twitter and YouTube, also recently removed a video shared by Mr. Trump that showed a doctor who falsely claimed that face masks do not work and that the “cure” for COVID-19 is hydroxychloroquine, zinc and Zithromax. That video was originally published by right-wing website Breitbart.”
Twitter stated that “We removed these posts and ads for violating our policy against organized hate,” a Facebook spokesperson said at the time.”

Sports writer Rick Reilly, who has golfed with Trump and in 2019 published the book Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump, says “Of all the people in the world that aren’t going to put up with a fool, it’s the Scots. They’re just such a no-nonsense people and they see him for what he is: He’s a big blowhard con man who is trying to tell them what they know isn’t true.”

You raise a good point. It seems that the Trump administration has left private schools alone (and maybe some charters) in their quest to have schools open on time and face-to-face instruction. When considering the demographics of public schools in this country, the cynic in me cannot help but wonder if there is a larger agenda.
