What internet and media sources do you read or listen to in order to reach your deductions. Please tell me. I am not trying to make light of your comments, but I seriously would like to know. You are not shy about voicing your thoughts, so you should have no problem giving me this information. President Donald Trump tweeted a conspiracy theory Tuesday about a Buffalo man injured by police that has circulated around fringe, far-right online media in recent days, adding to efforts from the president and other conservatives to cast protesters as part of a shadowy “antifa” movement.
Trump’s claims appeared to have been ripped from a conspiracy theory that aired Tuesday morning on One America News Network, a far-right cable news channel. The theory was originally posted to an anonymous conservative blog.
One America News Network reporter Kristian Rouz said the incident “could be the result of a false flag provocation by far-left group antifa.”
Rouz claimed that “newly released video” showed Gugino “using a police tracker on his phone.” The video is not newly released — merely slowed down — and it does not show Gugino using a “police tracker.” Rouz called it an “old trick used by antifa” without providing evidence or other examples.
Rouz, who previously worked for the Russian state media organization Sputnik, has a record of pushing baseless conspiracy theories on OANN. Last month, Rouz claimed that the coronavirus was a plot for “population control” by George Soros, Bill Gates, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Bill and Hillary Clinton and China.
Marc Polymeropoulos, a former CIA officer whose portfolio included Russia, said Trump was “giving a gift to the Russians.”
“It’s bad enough what he said,” Polymeropoulos said. “But it’s pretty shocking that he would quote from a known propaganda arm of Russian intelligence.”
Rouz’s report about Gugino cited an article from Conservative Treehouse, a far-right blog that frequently posts conspiracy theories. The blog post claims without evidence that Gugino is a “75-year-old professional agitator and Antifa provocateur” who “was attempting to capture the radio communications signature of Buffalo police officers.” The Conservative Treehouse post is written by a user named “Sundance,” who cites their own Twitter thread as proof of the conspiracy theory.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo also weighed in. “How reckless. How irresponsible. How mean. How crude. I mean, if there was ever a reprehensible, dumb comment,” Cuomo said. “And from the president of the United States.”
Well honesty Edith, the country was doing quite well until this pandemic shut everything down. At least far better than the last 28 years. It is hard to do much when everyone is locked up in quarantine and people cannot go to work. I think we have pretty well established that the majority of politicians are liars to some degree so I am not certain which liar you prefer to be in charge. It is plain to see that Biden (and Hillary) were and are for sale to any and all bidders and the proof is in their personal wealth.
And Stephen, your comment is pretty much true about life in general, is it not ? I am sure you are smart enough to know that our troubles began long before Trump got in office. In fact, it is ironic that people like Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, McConnel etc. have been in politics for centuries (it seems) and failed to fix anything yet they are promising to fix everything if re-elected. Zoe, I guess we are better off, if you think that a divided country is a good place to be. Instead of using the pandemic and the civil unrest to try and bring the country together, he has used both to further divide the country. You attack Obama by finding some far right writings and postings. While those of us who attack Trump do not have to search. It comes out of his mouth every day. We see it every day in his actions or tweets. We don’t make this stuff up. Also, what do you have to say in reference to George Will’s comments? What about the comments and statements from numerous high ranking active and retired military personnel? They don’t make this stuff up.
Trump has damaged this country’s standing in the world. Our allies ridicule him and his actions towards our allies makes our enemies stronger. Zoe, the president receives daily briefings on every domestic and foreign issue of the day. So why did his staff have to look up some far right posting about a 75 year old man setting up the police. Oh I see, this is how the conspirators must have planned it: Okay, old man, stand right in front of them as they are approaching. Make sure they have to push you and no matter how light the push fall backwards, let your head hit the pavement. We can sue to get the city to pay your hospital bills. If you die, you will become a martyr and then your family can file a wrongful death lawsuit.

Dear Zoe….Nobody lies like Trump and as far as getting things fixed…please research how many times McConnell has blocked bipartisan bills from the House and used Senate rules to block any bill that didn’t work for his Republican agenda. You seem to want to dodge the depth of this Republican problem by using the old line that “all politicians are crooked”, “the parties are equally to blame”, etc. But, the record shows that Republicans in Congress have been blocking, amending, trying to repeal everything that comes with Democrat support for generations. AND, everything has not been going great….just look at the distance between the haves and the have nots….it has grown bigly under your Trump guy. The rich have benefited from every Republican action, including soaking up most of the stimulus money from small business owners that needed it to stay afloat. The records show this and while it is widely known….Republicans just do not seem to care!

But this post was about an obviously false and salacious character assault on Mr. Gugino AFTER a physical assault by law enforcement, and the only thing you have to contribute is more worship for Trump? That kind of behavior is what has caused the GOP to lose people like me, not that it matters much now. Trump has demonstrated that he isn’t interested in bringing anyone together because he has a long history of only ridicule and insults for anyone that disagrees with him. Neither he nor you nor anyone else will insult or ridicule me into joining Trumps cause. Trump is where he is because of his own actions and mouth. Trying to portray him as a victim of the Democrats or anyone else isn’t going to undo the damage he brings down on himself daily. Millions of americans could not afford a income disruption or cost greater than $400 dollars just before the shutdown as this administration worked feverishly to eliminate the Aforadable Care Plan, removing Hundreds of thousands of Louisianas from health insurance, even now still before the US Supreme Court. Yes you are one probably doing well with, non taxed retirement deductions from your imcome, and non taxed income called health care insurance costs and non sales taxed health care purchases, and on and on. I would go into greater detail the unlevel playing field that is eating away our lower and middle class, the above just a quick few. They really believe he is helping them and when their taxes go back up, it’ll be too late.
