“Michigan is one of the reasons I ran. I was honored in Michigan long before I thought about – I was honored as the Man of the Year in Michigan at a big event.”
–Donald Trump, May 20, 2020.
“I was the organizer and chair of that, and we weren’t handing out Man of the Year awards and never have. That’s not part of the club’s mission.”
–Former U.S. Rep. Dave Trott, organizer of the Oakland County Republican Party’s Lincoln Day dinner at which Trump spoke in 2013, debunking yet another Trump lie.
In Trump’s “Malignant Narcissist” mind, he is the “MAN OF THE YEAR” in every year since the beginning of time! It makes him “happy” to think this! Anyone that challenges this is “fake news” and trying to “take down his presidency” or “rigging the election” by spreading lies….? How can any reasonable sane person not see that Trump is dangerously, mentally zoned on becoming King of the World….in his Malignant Narcissist mind? The bigly problem is that he is misusing all of the powers of our presidency to fulfill his “fake reality!” What an unholy mess we have here…what say you Republicans? I would really like to hear an honest assessment by them of Trump’s madness instead of the usual, “Thank you, Mr. President!”
Thank you Mr. President for all the good thing that you have done for me and Tom’s hateful dozen.
Jim, please name one “good thing” Trump has done. Just one. Please. And be specific. Don’t ramble.
Unfortunately Ms. Herring, there are few Republicans left in the traditional sense and likely few of these people still support Trump and many have left the party. The right wing extremists have taken over the voice of the party and the rest have been bullied and cowed into doing Trumps bidding. So Republicans today should probably and more properly be referred to as Trumpers and Reactionaries or some other name that correctly reflects their ignorant views.
So many prominent “Republicans” have left the party: George Conway, Rick Wilson, Joe Scarborough, George Will, Steve Schmidt, Peter Wehner, Max Boot, Bill Kristol and many others. And neoconservative thinker Bill Kristol says a 2nd term of Trump would be ‘Very Dangerous’

And here are more of his views:

But, like you, I would sure like to hear answers to your questions from “Republicans.”
In August, 2020 a new book called “It Was All a Lie: How the Republican Party Became Donald Trump” and written by Stuart Stevens will be out. Here is how Amazon describes the book:
“Stuart Stevens spent decades electing Republicans at every level, from presidents to senators to local officials. He knows the GOP as intimately as anyone in America, and in this new book he offers a devastating portrait of a party that has lost its moral and political compass.
This is not a book about how Donald J. Trump hijacked the Republican Party and changed it into something else. Stevens shows how Trump is in fact the natural outcome of five decades of hypocrisy and self-delusion, dating all the way back to the civil rights legislation of the early 1960s. Stevens shows how racism has always lurked in the modern GOP’s DNA, from Goldwater’s opposition to desegregation to Ronald Reagan’s welfare queens and states’ rights rhetoric. He gives an insider’s account of the rank hypocrisy of the party’s claims to embody “family values,” and shows how the party’s vaunted commitment to fiscal responsibility has been a charade since the 1980s. When a party stands for nothing, he argues, it is only natural that it will be taken over by the loudest and angriest voices in the room.
It Was All a Lie is not just an indictment of the Republican Party, but a candid and often lacerating mea culpa. Stevens is not asking for pity or forgiveness; he is simply telling us what he has seen firsthand. He helped to create the modern party that kneels before a morally bankrupt con man and now he wants nothing more than to see what it has become burned to the ground.”
CJG, I certainly want to read this insider’s account of the long downfall of this Republican Party and I already can relate to the events mentioned as I remember them…it must be true that no nation can survive being governed by lies and liars…America better hurry up and snatch our democracy from the roaring fire of this prevailing Trumpism…
