“When will all of the ‘reporters’ who have received Noble (sic) Prizes for their work on Russia, Russia, Russia, only to have been proven totally wrong (and, in fact, it was the other side who committed the crimes), be turning back their cherished ‘Nobles’ (sic) so that they can be given to the REAL REPORTERS & JOURNALISTS who got it right. I can give the Committee a very comprehensive list. When will the Noble (sic) Committee DEMAND the Prizes back, especially since they were gotten under fraud? The reporters and Lamestream Media knew the truth all along Lawsuits should be brought against all, including the Fake News Organizations, to rectify this terrible injustice. For all of the great lawyers out there, do we have any takers? When will the Noble (sic) Committee Act? Better be fast!”
— Donald J. Trump tweet, April 26, 2020. Trump is such a “family man” that he spent his wife’s birthday jealously trying to get Nobel (and it is Nobel, not Noble, you illiterate ass clown) Prizes taken away from reporters who covered the Russia scandal. (The prizes awarded for journalism, by the way, are Pulitzers. There are no Nobel or Noble prizes for journalism.)
Did Trump Tweet That Reporters Should Return ‘Noble’ Prizes?
I would be extremely interested in knowing of an explanation or a defense for Trump’s statement by his supporters. Do we have anyone out there who would kindly do that?
I can’t do that, but I can say that I watched his meeting with John Bel Edwards this morning and I was impressed with both John Bel Edwards and with the way President Trump treated him. He clearly likes JBE and enjoys saying his name, calling him “John Bel.” This ostensibly good relationship can only work to our advantage in more ways than one as long as it holds.
I will say this quote proves President Trump is a poor speller and has confused the Nobel prizes with Pulitzers – his supporters will see nothing particularly negative here.
It seems that John Bel Edwards is a very astute politician – which is a good thing to be in this very divided political climate…
But we know from three years of watching and listening that Trump can turn on even his closest friends and associates on a whim. He seldom attacks a political opponent face to face. He waits until they’re out of the room and unable to respond directly. I believe that’s called cowardly.
Knowing that trait all too well, I’ll withhold any praise for now.
If history is an indicator, then you’re more likely to get “spin”, instead of a defense. For me, JBE is the first democrat I’ve ever voted for… twice. He’s a great example of leadership, which makes it much easier to accept his views that I don’t agree with. It’s exactly what I would expect of a Military Officer Veteran. Of course, you can easily see why Trump went to such great lengths to threaten his Alma Maters with legal action if his academic records were leaked. It’s apparent in virtually every communication he attempts. The contrast between the two couldn’t have been more stark during that meeting.
When are you going to apologize for defaming Michael Flynn with your lies?
Umm, when pigs fly?
