“I’m the president, and you’re fake news.”
—Donald Trump, at a recent press conference held to discuss the coronavirus.
“Nothing makes Trump supporters angrier than when you directly quote something he has said.”
—Tweet by Travis Allen, April 24, 2020.
“Calm down, Trump just suggested injecting people with bleach. It’s not like he said anything really dangerous like when Michelle Obama suggested that kids should eat vegetables.”
—Recent tweet by “The Volatile Mermaid.”
“There has been no President in the history of our Country who has been treated so badly as I have.”
—Donald Trump tweet, September 25, 2019.
“JFK was shot in the head in the middle of the street next to his wife.”
—Tweet by Frederick Joseph.
“Mr. President, a little history lesson: Abraham Lincoln (1865), James A. Garfield (1881), William McKinley (1901), and John F. Kenned (1963). They were all treated pretty badly.”
—Tweet by Matthew Dowd, chief strategist for the 2004 Bush-Cheney presidential campaign, September 25, 2019.
Word is now that the laughingstock of the world is “outraged” that he is the laughingstock of the world, with world leaders literally laughing at him and publications mocking him. He’s going to punish us by staying away from those daily campaign rallies because it’s not worth his trouble since we don’t appreciate (and fawn over) him. We’ll miss the daily entertainment – so much new material to laugh at on the world stage. It’s been fun watching trump “dig his grave with his mouth,” as the old saying goes.
Well, surprise, surprise. Well, it’s not really a surprise. I mean, as usual he has changed his mind. So, we’re back to saying, “it’s 5 o’clock, do you know where your president is.”
At 12:51 p.m. today (Monday) The Washington Post wrote:
“About three hours after relaying that President Trump would not hold a scheduled coronavirus briefing on Monday, the White House announced he would ‘brief the nation’ at a news conference.
UPDATE: The White House has additional testing guidance and other announcements about safely opening up America again,’ White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany tweeted. ‘President @realDonaldTrump will brief the nation during a news conference this evening.’
The announcement of a 5 p.m. news conference in the Rose Garden was the latest in mixed signals from the White House about how often Trump plans to brief the press moving forward.”
I am looking forward to the Biden – Trump debates. There will be an abundance of quotes that we may all laugh at.
For once, I agree with you completely. If there are any debates.
Zoe….I hope we get to see Trump do his “monster stalk” of Biden as he did with Hillary while debating. Biden is taller than Hillary and has plenty of time to see how dirty Trump likes to play…so, maybe we will see and hear Biden tell Trump to go back to his place and act like an adult. It will be even more entertaining, to hear how Trump supporters can justify his behavior: that if Trump behaves like a child, it will be Biden’s fault?
Well, you certainly can’t look forward to Trump’s press conferences. They’ve been an unmitigated Trumpian disaster, interrupted only by presidential catastrophe. Let’s hope that for the debates, Trump can be a bit more glib and coherent.
Have you ever listened to Trump for a while and wondered “who ties your shoes laces for you?”
the man can’t help himself. Live on his bs show – he said “someone” dropped the ball early in this situation. Someone didn’t make timely decisions. Here is the answer to the mystery of who someone might be;

He also informed us that the 1918 Spanish flu epidemic took place in 1917, and drove home the fact that it was over a hundred years ago. He cannot imagine that some people are improperly using disinfectants. He insisted again, incorrectly, that the number of Americans tested for CV virus is so much higher than any other country. Just can’t stay on the script right in front of him. At least the speech writer included remarks expressing sympathy for the sick, dead and their families. Hope Hicks is back in the communications saddle so this briefing took place in the Rose Garden. Same song, different verse.
