“If I were to run, I’d run as a Republican. They’re the dumbest group of voters in the country. They believe anything on Fox News. I could lie and they’d still eat it up. I bet my numbers would be terrific.”
—Donald J. Trump, People Magazine, 1998.
“I won’t accept written answers from the whistleblower. They must testify in person.”
—Donald Trump.
“I’ve submitted my answers to Mueller in written form because I’m not testifying in person.”
—Donald Trump. [Yes, we know the outcome of the Mueller report and the impeachment, but the double standard here is worth mentioning. Besides, if he testified in person, he’d be under oath and lying under oath is still considered perjury.]
“People are dying who have never died before.”
—Donald Trump, March 18, 2020. [Gee, who knew?]
Once a decade or so, Trump says something insightful and true. The quote above about Republicans and Fox is one such example.
At least he is considering no longer taking time away from medical doctor members of the Coronavirus Task Force in the briefings, but take note of his tweet announcing that possibility. Here it is, word-for-word:
“What is the purpose of having White House News Conferences when the Lamestream Media asks nothing but hostile questions, & then refuses to report the truth or facts accurately. They get record ratings, & the American people get nothing but Fake News. Not worth the time & effort!”
I’m going to say something I’ve said many times before:
None of us need any talking heads on any networks, any pundits, or even each other to tell us what President Trump writes, says, or does – and, in particular, what he really meant when he wrote, said, or did whatever he did.
This is the modern age. Most of us can read. Most of us can see. Most of us can hear. Almost all of us can do at least one of the three. And, guess what, that is all we need.
We apparently read his words differently, see real-time things he does differently, and hear the same words directly from his mouth, but interpret them differently.
Although this seems to be the only explanation for what is going on, it seems impossible. Can somebody explain to me how this can possibly be?
Do any of you actually believe what President Trump says in the tweet above? If you do, please tell me how it is possible to do so. And, please, don’t point the finger at any other person, living or dead, because whatever they wrote, did, or said has no relevance. This is about one person and one person only [ President Donald John Trump.
Thanks.
Mr. Winham. I will admit that I do not understand how anyone can not see Trump in his reality. We have had numerous, nationally respected psychiatrists and psychologist explain Trump’s dysfunctions and why he does what he does, especially the projections, bullying, blaming others and total narcissism. Just as a matter of impartial observation, it is very interesting to predict what he will do before he does it because we understand his condition. i can almost predict what he will tweet based on how he thinks he is perceived and his perception of his perception is always narcissistic. I never hear any of his defenders claim that he is not a truly mentally and emotionally dysfunctional human. They merely try to explain and normalize what he has done…..”he likes to discuss his impression of what he thinks he has heard” before an audience… While Trump is an interesting clinical subject, the problem is that he is president…
The quote about Republican voters should be sent to all Trump voters EVERYWHERE

Unfortunately none of them would believe he said it, he would deny he said it and then claim it was a fake media report. Then they would all adjourn to the Rose Garden and sip on a glass of Kool-Aid.
