“The Wall Street Journal always ‘forgets’ to mention that the ratings for the White House Press Briefings are ‘through the roof’ (Monday Night Football, Bachelor Finale, according to @nytimes) & is only way for me to escape the Fake News & get my views across. WSJ is Fake News!”
—Donald Trump, April 9, 2020, response to Wall Street Journal editorial suggesting that Trump’s daily coronavirus briefings (which usually turn into either a campaign rally or an attack on the media) are wearing a little thin with Americans [demonstrating once again that as far as the Big Cheeto is concerned, everything is always about him].
Doesn’t he know Rupert Murdoch, who owns FOX NEWS also owns the Wall Street Journal?
If he alienates the WSJ, he will lose the support of a widely circulated and well-respected publication that goes out of its way portray him in a positive light. As Buddy Holly might say, “Rave on, Mr. Trump!” [though with a different context]
Does Trump not know that Rupert Murdoch owns both the Wall St.Journal and Fox news? While the WSJ is still a good newspaper (meaning it still tries to stick to the facts), the editorial content is mostly conservative and pro-Trump.
Here’s a great description of Trump and how the British feel about him.

Perhaps you might put down your daily dose of TDS and use your portal to foster information supportive of your friends and neighbors who are suffering the effects of the COVID-19 lockdown. It might be taken as benevolent for you to actually use the bandwidth you have for the public good in this time of crisis…in lieu of repeated “cheeto” remarks that do nothing to foster public discourse or help Louisiana citizens. You can always return to Trump bashing once you have performed a real public service.
Oh, I don’t know, Outlaw. Seems to me Mr. Aswell is performing a valuable public service by showing the leadership void in this country so that perhaps that might be corrected come November. And in the event Trump is reelected, at least Mr. Aswell can say he tried. That seems to be quite a bit more than you can say.
And of course Outlaw you have the option of not reading anything that is deleterious to Dear Leader.
