“Our great American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to China.”
—More governing by tweet by Donald Trump, Aug. 23, 2019. [While there is unquestionable merit to his concern over China’s stealing intellectual property from the U.S., mandating change by tweet is certainly no way to run a railroad. We do, after all, still live in a free democracy—not an autocracy.]
And God help us find an alternative to this President in the next election.
Great research.
“We do, after all, still live in a free democracy—not an autocracy.”
Are you sure about that?
Oh c’mon ! The man followed all procedures to implement legal requirements for industry to facilitate manufacture of needed medical products. NO ONE is governing by tweet for God’s sake. That tweet has zero affect on anything except to alert those who follow on twitter what his intentions are, and for anyone who is unaware, the man has encouraged domestic production since he has announced.
And CJ, your alternative seems to be a senile individual who is lost as a goose. He has zero chance and we both know it. And Stephen, name a single instance of autocratic rule i.e. where Trump forced anyone to do anything outside of the rule of law.We both know that he could never slip that by with everyone who watches his every move and statement.
You don’t Answer my questions so there is no reason to answer yours. Doing so would be a waste of time anyhow.
Zoe, Zoe, Zoe. That tweet was last August, long before the coronavirus hit. It had zero to do with the manufacture of “needed medical products.” There were no need for any “procedures to implement legal requirements” at that time. It was just another of Trump’s tweet tantrums.
As you say, “Oh c’mon!” Get your facts straight.
You are the most blatant apologist for Trump this side of Kellyanne Conway.
How can you call Biden senile while ignoring your boy’s dementia? And there are so many instances of Trump directing subordinates to violate the law that there’s not room here to list everything but a little research on your part could find ample examples (building the wall on private property is just one. Remember, he directed his people to “just do it and let them sue.”).

There are more, but you bore me.
Well Ms. Zoe, not that I want to take issue with you, but your “senile individual who is lost as a goose” perfectly describes the person who currently resides in the White House (at least until January, 2021). I do so enjoy your comments. I know you don’t mean them to be, but I (and I mean no disrespect) find them humorous. God bless you.
