I could not get past the “part of the beauty of me” part before I just cracked up. There is no “beauty” of Trump. There is nothing “beautiful” about his tweets, his lies, his arrogance, his unabashed greed, his “childish attacks” on others, his silly nick-naming, his nasty sexual lusts….this is the short list of Trump ugly. Thanks for the laugh!
Mr. Aswell I am aghast that you would be so unfair as to take a quote from such a great Roman statesman and compare it to something said by our arrogant, egotistical, incompetent, idiotic, ignorant, narcissist, immoral and buffoonish President. This undermines and diminishes Cicero’s greatness.
Irony’s a beautiful thing, isn’t it?
Then why not reveal your tax returns? The US will see this summer if the Trump picked Supremes will decide in favor of Trump being able to withhold the returns-his lawyers and accountants specifically- or whether the public has a right to know. Has the Supreme Court become politicized beyond redemption and has America taken another egregious step toward a unitary presidency-with as Columbia U Professor Jeffrey Sachs said on Democracy Now-an “ignoramus” at the wheel.
I have read Cicero. He was a brilliant orator and crafty politician. That quote pretty well describes our Congress, and honestly, most of our recent politicins who have accumulated wealth through politics.
he claims to be so rich, and also someone who understands what the less advantaged among us have to deal with and go through…and those very people actually believed that BS from someone who has never had to work for a paycheck or figure out how to pay the rent and feed their families…now THAT’S rich.
