Surely, by now, we all know when we are being conned by the President of the United States. We must deal with why he constantly cons us. We know the answer to this by now, also. Everything he does is to enlarge and promote his wonderfulness. We must hold him and his followers (including this Republican Congress, except maybe Romney) accountable for Trump’s willful destruction of our government norms that are in place to protect and serve us.

Never has there been a more remorseless con man and clown since “there’s a sucker born every minute” &”You’ll never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public” hucksters. Even his henchman lawyer and admirer Roy Cohen finally said after being sent a bill for a room in a Trump owned hotel for his dying lover and discovering a gift of jewelry from Trump was bogus said of Trump “Donald pisses ice water.” Unfortunately an unhealthy percentage of the American public seems to enjoy golden showers. Or fantasizes that wearing a raincoat will prevent the Corona Virus. Which, along with being a science denier on climate change, Trump initially disparaged as another “hoax.” A new book is titled of Trump “Everything He Touches Dies”

Take this from a New Yorker: while Trump disparages Covid 19 as a Chinese Virus” and slaps tariffs on them-They are galloping ahead in the technology race, far ahead in 5G. Given the chaos that Trump has created in the US government, he is giving the Chinese an undue advantage from which Uncle Sam will be hard pressed to recover. The Chinese graduate upwards of 3 million tech savvy scientists annually.In the head-to-head competition and cyber warfare to come, Silicon Valley is being outstripped by China. Uncle Sam has its idiot King. If he knew how to fiddle our Nero.

How much more, or should I ask, is there anything he could say or do that would cause his supporters to become detractors. Is it at all possible for any of them to see him as the demagogue he is and the harm he is doing to this country? And will not only continue to but escalate the harm? Is there anyone who can explain it to them in a way that they will understand? That they will see Fox as fake and detrimental to the truth?
