“I’ve known it was a pandemic, long before it was called a pandemic. All you had to do was to look at other countries.”
—Donald Trump, March 17, 2020, after weeks of calling coronavirus a “hoax,” a Democratic “plot” to destroy his presidency, and after repeatedly insisting that “We have it under control.”
Glad to hear it. Was he covering it up before yesterday to protect us? If so, from what? Zoe? Fairness? Anybody wearing his jersey? Chirp…chirp…chirp…,
You can’t fix stupid, but you can watch it in action on in the White House every day.
Ya just can’t argue with video, the bane of lyin’ liars. The history is there and although Mr. Not Responsible will not own his errors and falsehoods (okay, lies), the recordings are there to debunk whatever lies he throws out.
So now, when the nation needs its citizens to coalesce, would you turn your back on a President who, even by the measure of CNN and MSNBC, two of his harshest critics, has taken back the initiative and worked to stabilize this nation in a time of crisis?
Your TDS must have turned your soul to mush, inasmuch as it has taken your camaraderie for your fellow citizens in this time of our greatest need. Support the President and our nation because we need to come together and endure this threat…not to use this crisis to inject some partisan hostility into your already lame argument. Donald Trump did not cause this virus, but your fractional ideas will only serve to delay its disposal. Once this cloud has passed, you can return to your proselytizing..but for now, stand with your fellow Americans.
Would you take that responsibility to derail the well being of your neighbors…for the sake of your political position?
For that, any point on the left or right should be well ashamed. Be Americans first…
Oh, please forgive Mr. Aswell. Obviously, he didn’t realize how very noble Mr. Trump was in trying to “coalesce” the citizenry.
Outlaw, I must say you are quite masterful at trying to help Trump spin his way out of this tragedy. TDS has nothing to with this; the plain facts are that Trump tried to ignore and deflect blame for two months while the CDC, the nation’s governors, and our hospitals and doctors were trying to tell us to stay away from crowds, wash our hands, avoid air travel, etc.
No matter how hard you try, you can’t wave the flag and accuse critics of being unpatriotic as a way of excusing the lack of leadership in the Oval Office. It just doesn’t work that way.
You are entitled to your own opinion, but not your own facts.
Okay, I get that you support President Trump – either because you believe blind allegiance to him is patriotic (despite Constitutional provisions that balance power among the 3 branches of our government for very good reasons stated in the Declaration of Independence), or you actually like what he is doing. You apparently also believe that those of us who have a problem with him are deranged and are somehow traitors to our country.
I strongly disagree with your assumptions and believe those of us who are critical of the President are exercising the very rights our founding fathers intended. If they simply wanted to do whatever the King of England demanded, with full loyalty, why bother to declare independence and create our democratic republic? We could simply have remained a colony.
Okay, all of that said (and I’m sure you disagree and I will stipulate to that), I asked a very simple question in my comment above. Can you answer it?
Clarification: I am asking you to answer the question in the first comment I posted.
So you don’t have to scroll up, here it is:
Was he covering it up [the fact this is a pandemic he knew about all along] before yesterday to protect us? If so, from what?
You might also answer the question of why we declared independence from rule by King George.
Interesting that now we should put America first, which many of us have been saying for some time to the Party-Over-Country set.
Here’s an offer for you, Outlaw.
I will acknowledge Trump for a job well done if you will acknowledge that Obama had more class, less B.S., fewer golf outings, better relations with our allies, was more respected by our military, did not dodge taxes, play around on his wife, didn’t berate our intelligence agencies, blame everyone else for his problems, was a better public speaker who didn’t play to the worst emotional traits of his audiences, was not a race-baiting demagogue, and didn’t lie every time he opened his mouth – and if your other Trump supporters will cease invoking Obama’s name every time someone criticizes Trump.
Deal?
We are! Most Americans want him out.
Good thoughts. Trump is a lying egomaniac and is a threat to our National Security. Try John Tolands Adolph HItler pages 105-110 or pages 317-312 or read the whole book. Very educational and current as hell. and I am almost through with The Secret Front by Wilhelm Hoettle. “The Protocals” connection in Tolands, great propaganda connection re Jews and Christ, keep learning ron thompson
Understand why we say what we say, Read great article in the New Yorker, Mar. 9, 2002 #winning re Brad Parscale, byAndre Marantz. Parscale got like 93 million to spread wordy lies to the masses of ignorant republicans and many ignorant Democrats. . Wish I had time to write but Susan found me in my isolation spot and put me back to work. ron thompson
Thanks. Just read it. Enough to make you sick. I guess the term “fair play” should be taken out of the American lexicon.
