“40 Wall Street actually was the second-tallest building in downtown Manhattan…And now it’s the tallest.”
—Donald Trump, pointing out that his building was now the tallest structure in Manhattan during an interview with a New York TV station following the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center.
“If someone is able to show me that what I think or do is not right, I will happily change, for I seek the truth, by which no one was ever truly harmed. It is the person who continues in his self-deception and ignorance who is harmed.”
― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
“If it is not right do not do it; if it is not true do not say it.”
― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
Marcus Aurelius was Roman emperor from 161 to 180 A.D. and remembered as one of history’s most exemplary leaders and one worth emulating in our own lives. His book of Meditations is worth reading for all of us, but especially to POTUS and his followers. Maybe I should send POTUS an audio book since he doesn’t read.
You should do that CJ. In fact, a copy to everyone in Congress would be a good thing. We have a lot to learn from ancient Rome, both good and bad.
