1, Is there a Presidential Medal of Humanity? If so, Trump should hurry up and award it to Rush to go with his other medal. If not, he could give him the Presidential Citizens Medal, though it is of lesser value than the big one – maybe he could give him 2 of those.

Oh Stephen, are you aware of people that Obama decorated with the very same award ? Does Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, or Andrew Weiner ring a bell ?? These medals are awarded to friends and allies as much as for merit, and I understand why Obama chose to reward those who gave him money, covered for him or were just his friend.
As for Rush, his “right hand” man, Mr Snerdly has worked for 20+ years beside Rush and as a black man, seems to disagree with your postulation.Rush is, without a doubt the most successful radio broadcaster ever. He has a pretty large following. One does not have to grovel to Jesse Jackson to be considered non-racist.
I have not followed Mr Trump’s social history and actually am not very interested. My real concern is what a leader does for his people, and by any measuring stick, Trump has done more for America than most other Presidents in recent history. We have established that most followers of this column, including its’ creator, have an intense dislike for Trump, which is an individual choice and I strongly endorse one’s right to do so and say so. Sometimes, I feel I must respond to the sarcasm.

Thanks. I just saw the typical response from Zoe. Of greatest concern, as always, is the fact her facts are not my facts. Her list of supposed medal recipients from President Obama is particularly insidious since, as you point out, it is outright fiction.
Zoe just doesn’t get it! It comes to a point when character must mean something in politics. This is something that Trump doesn’t have by any means.
wildbill68 – character means a great deal in politics as well as all areas of life and society. trump is a character, but does not possess any attributes whatsoever of what most people would consider good character. The fact that so many of his supporters excuse any and all of his personal, professional and political failings tells us a great deal about their own character.
