And on Wednesday of this week he set his own personal best record of 141 tweets in one day, surpassing his previous record of 123 tweets in December, 2019.
This should prove once and for all that Trump lies about everything all of the time….now the entire Republican Party is lying about everything all of the time….or so it seems.
I suppose Ms. Herring that I could live with the lies if only so many people didn’t believe them!
True…their belief in his lies and failure to admit his wrongful acts is the most unbelievable thing I have ever witnessed. Normally, when a public figure does a fraction of what Trump does, they lose…Trump doesn’t…this is not normal and scary.
If only it weren’t another lie.
Speaking of deception, the Republican case presented today did absolutely nothing to address the key component of Article 1: Solicitation of the aid of a foreign government to influence an American election. Instead, it focused on quid pro quo.
In retrospect, the Democrats might now consider that they could have had a better case without mentioning quid pro quo in the actual article. If Trump only asked Zelensky to investigate the Bidens without offering anything in return, it would have been wrong and was an abuse of power for personal political gain. The rest of their “defense” was harping on the same procedural issues they have been trying to use as a distraction from the beginning.
It was a nothing burger. IF Trump supporters even watched, though, I’m willing to bet they saw it as total exoneration and the Senate will use this perception as an excuse to simply vote the way they were going to vote last week, last month and last year. If they didn’t watch, but simply relied on their conservative news sources, they saw it as proof of a witch hunt hoax, for sure. As soon as President Trump tweets or speaks, his words will become the Gospel for them.
I will offer a rhetorical question: Why is Midnight Mitch and his 52 cohorts so against allowing witnesses and documents to be allowed in the trial?
Good question. Personally I think they’re afraid of what might come out.
They don’t want to cloud their votes with facts.
Moscow Mitch wants a shut out and shut down. All before the State of the Union Address and Super Bowl. Let Trump have the last word for his base. Why confuse his base with more facts from administration testimony? The oath they took was meaningless. Their minds were already made up. After the 53-47 amendments knockdown, I honestly questioned the House managers courage to continue.
