Perhaps Mr. Berg did not pay close enough attention to who the person he voted for is – President Trump is the exact same person as citizen Trump – or, perhaps Mr. Berg really doesn’t want to MAGA 😎

Good for Mr. Berg! He is not afraid to admit he made a mistake. I salute him. And as for as Mr. Winham’s comment, I agree we should Make American Great Again…let’s dump Trump.

Well, the hard cold reality is that Mr. Trump will be re-elected, that nothing illicit was discovered by the two year Meuller Investigation, that there was nothing to impeach the man for (abuse of power and ignoring Congress are not crimes as President Obama proved) so all of these complaints come down to simply not liking the person.

It must infuriate all of you that Trump rallies draw thousands while Democrats draw minimal crowds. This is because the Democrat Party of 2019 has zero agenda except socialism.And I wonder, do any of you anti-Trumpsters actually believe that Hillary Clinton was a better choice ? Unless you are all socialists, perhaps you should focus efforts on bringing Democrat Party back towards the center, for the 2023 election with a reasonable candidate.

One should be embarrassed to have representation like Pelosi, Schumer, Iman, Cortez, Warren etc. in our Congress (every one of them, a total hypocrite). We need some Tip O’Neil’s that can moderate and work across party lines for the good of the American People. If Obama had accomplished i/2 of what Trump has, he would go down in history as a great President, not a footnote as first minority President.

Oh, where to begin, Zoe. To claim “nothing illicit” was discovered by Mueller is an outright falsehood. Mueller specifically said if he could have exonerated Trump, he would’ve done so, but he could not say that. Second, impeachment does not require that a crime be committed. No less a constitutional scholar than Lindsey Graham said that in the Clinton impeachment trial. Also, I find it curious that Trump supporters must continually invoke Clinton and Obama. We’re not proud of Clinton and anyone else would’ve defeated Trump (and Clinton did actually win the popular vote by some 3 million votes) and I don’t recall quite as many scandals with Obama (and don’t even bring up Benghazi after all the Trump debacles).

As for those trump rallies drawing all those crowds—hell, everyone loves a circus, especially the clowns.

And for the record, Zoe, exactly what had Trump accomplished? He’s pissed off our NATO allies, he’s embraced dictators, he’s withdrawn from the climate agreements, he killed a non-nuclear treaty with Iran that was working and look where we are now, he has failed to bring back the jobs for coal miners (as promised), he’s had to resort to subsidies for farmers to overcome his devastating trade war with China that otherwise would’ve bankrupted the farmers (so much for anti-socialism, Zoe), he’s forced higher prices on foreign goods because of the trade wars (Americans pay the tariffs, remember?–not China), he wanted to nuke a hurricane, for God’s sake, he serious suggested printing more money to pay off the national debt which, by the way, has increased dramatically under his watch after he promised to eliminate the national debt. Oh, I almost forgot: the stock market continues to rise—which, by the way, began under Obama whose increases, percentage-wise, were greater than under Trump and who was it—oh, that’s right, it was Rush Limbaugh who has said over and over (during Obama’s administration) that economic growth or shrinkage in one administration was a carryover from the previous administration (you can check that out on Limbaugh broadcast archives, by the way). Likewise, employment growth began under Obama after the Great Recession of 2008 (during the second Bush administration). What else did Trump do after criticizing Obama for failing to visit south Louisiana in the wake of the 2016 flood? Why, he tossed paper towels to hurricane victims in Puerto Rico, where he said he was “having fun.”

Finally, Zoe, though this sticks in my throat to say it, but yes, with all her negatives (and there were many), even Hillary would’ve been better than a buffoon like Trump. Even Bill, with his backroom deals, was the last president to balance the budget.

They impeached Bill…for what? Lying about an affair with Monica Lewinski. Trump was impeached for one, refusing to comply with a congressional subpoena—which, Zoe, IS an impeachable offense.

Well Jessup (and Winham), this is beginning to amuse me.

Mueller investigation was convened to prove “Russian Influence” in election. Not a single indictment had a thing to do with collusion. That is a fact.And the investigators were largely Hillary donors as you well know. No one can show a single vote that was influenced by Russia, but we can show illegals who vote – that is foreign interference.

Impeachment requires “high crime and misdemeanors”. As for the Clinton trial (a man who I voted for the first time), he did in fact commit a crime called perjury, which is a felony. As an attorney (both he and Hillary are no longer) all he had to do was take the Fifth Amendment, but he chose to lie. I do not believe that was an impeachable offence considering the situation and evidently less than 2/3 of Senate did not convict him. And do you recall A G Holder ignoring Congressional subpoena ? Contempt of Congress is not a crime as such.

Hillary did indeed win popular vote as did Al Gore, but fact is, only because of large margin in California and New York. And Bill had Newt which was why the budget was balanced.

Scandals under Obama ? Are you serious ? Let us start with “Fast and Furious”. Guns were sold to Drug Cartels, one of which was used to kill an American DEA agent. The IRS was used to go after conservative organizations.He gave CASH to Iran. He ordered hundreds of drone strikes just like what you condemn Trump of doing, killing civilians as well as bad guys. He allowed genocide in Syria by “drawing line in sand” and then doing not one thing when that line was crossed. He relaxed sanctions on Russia (which Trump increased), attended fund raiser while Benghazi was going on in Libya. I can go on, but fact is, Obama had a horrible foreign affairs policy.

The Trump rallies speak for themselves .That circus will win election which means most of Americans support Trump policy. I am certain that you have reviewed electoral map which denotes democrat majority.

If you compare McConnel, Nunes, McCarthy etc, to Pelosi etc. you will not be happy next election because democrats will lose majority.

Our allies are not “pissed” off. The are not happy that Trump is making them ante up for their own protection, and if you are opposed to that, well, that speaks for itself.As for the “climate agreement” was a huge waste of our money; USA is not the problem; China, India, Asia in general, and even Russia are the big polluters and they paid virtually nothing – again, the USA was paying for their sins. The treaty with Iran was a sham because we had no inspection rights. Do you think they should have nuclear weapons as a terrorist sponsor renegade nation ? Fact is, they notified USA of their targets recently to make sure no Americans were harmed; They sent missiles to save face, not to start war.

Tariffs. This man has sold rice to China. You apparently do not understand how tariffs work; Both sides have them. If you sell to a country that does not want your product to undercut theirs price wise, a tariff is implemented to discourage that trade. Trump is simply putting the same tariffs that are charged on American goods that the other countries put on ours. The other countries are lowering their tariffs.Basic economics.

Stock market. Trillions of dollars in wealth has been created under Trump Administration, over and above any increases in Obama era. Check NY Times because you will not believe me. Even they admitted the boom was real.

Budget deficits. Trump has allowed deficits and I feel he should veto a lot of the excessive spending. Fact is, Obama amassed more deficits than all prior Presidents (including Trump) in our history put together. All of this is bad and inflationary and will devalue our currency. Deficits are nothing to be proud of.

And rather than list progress in last three years, what did Obama do for us ? The bad far outweighs the good. Name a single economic policy of his that helped. Trump has de-regulated for example. Trump has cut income taxes for all. Onama’s sole “bragging” point was ObamaCare, which was an attempt to socialize the U S Economy and thank God it has not been implemented fully.

I have no illusions that we are polar opposites regarding current politics and you are the type of people who look at Trump and say if he walks on water you criticize him because he can’t swim. No, he is far from perfect, but I believe he has USA best interests at heart, he is antiwar (unlike Hillary), and knows one bargains from a position of strength.

We all remember Obama defending his poor economic record by saying Americans will have to learn new skills and do with less. What can Trump do, “wave a magic wand”. Obama had the lowest GDP growth of any President in history. He has acknowledged that.

Y-A-W-N, Stephen, why bother to list. You will disagree. We will never convince each other, so you support socialists and warmongers like Hillary all you like, and I will support capitalists and believers in our democratic republic and see who has last laugh. And Tom, I am sure you are smiling at the controversy, but hopefully we will read both sides and all learn a little.

  The divide is too great for us to ever reach a common ground. I do appreciate you putting it out there, though. Few are willing to do so.

Once more, let’s applaud Mr. Berg. He finally saw the light. But I don’t hold out much hope that there are many others like him. They will go down with the ship. Unfortunately for them their Captain (Mr. MAGA) will be the first to leave and save himself. As they sink and drown they will still believe it wasn’t his fault. It was the media. It was Obama. It was the Democrats. It was Hilary. Anybody but the “anointed one.”
