Patriotism is indeed different from loyalty. I wish more news networks would exhibit a little patriotism instead of defending a murderer of Americans just because of who executed him.
Well, goodness gracious, Zoe. Bashar al-Assad has killed no fewer than one million and Trump seems to have no problem with him. Putin has killed…how many? We’ll never know, but Trump wants to be his best friend. Erdogan is now going after the Kurds after Trump abandoned them. Kim Jong Un is a butcher but Trump has praised his leadership. An American kills unarmed children and the elderly and poses with their corpses but Trump pardons him.
Patriotism should never exist to the exclusion of criticism when we think a wrong has been committed. “My country right or wrong” is a cop-out for the lazy and uninformed.
No one is defending the “murderer of Americans.” The issues are whether his killing was worth starting a war with Iran and whether it was a legal act or an assassination of a legitimate foreign government. And was it the act of a fool hardy President interested in distracting us and the media away from his impeachment problems.
Well Mr. Aswell you have certainly ignited a trove of comments with your posting of these quotes lately. I think the commentary dialogue is great. And, as info, I am NOT a Fox viewer. I prefer to read your factual quotes and media coverage that does the same.
Unfortunately, I do not believe that we can expect any change in the the behavior, lying, and ranting from trump. As is obvious, he is not only the worst narcissist and overt egotist who has ever been president, but, even much worse, he is a sociopath. This is a serious character disorder, for which treatment is not so successful. For those who are somewhat vague about the characteristics of a sociopath, please Google “sociopath” and you will find that trump fits all of the characteristics of a sociopath. That said, the sociopath should be voted out of office and/impeached.
