Okay, this is going to bring out all the foaming-at-the-mouth Trump supporters. But go ahead, give it your best shot. (a) I am used to your blind, hear-no-evil, see-no-evil, speak-no-evil unwavering devotion to anyone who speaks the same hate-filled “all-hat-and-no-cattle” rhetoric as you and (b) I don’t really care because I would rather stand up for decency, honesty, and respectability than to curry favor with any of you.
Having said that, I can now turn my attention to Mr. Hominy and grits, Mr. syrup for brains, Mr. Hypocrisy himself, aka Louisiana’s junior senator John Neely Kennedy, for his latest sound bite for the TV cameras.
It’s been said that the most dangerous place in Washington, D.C. is to stand between Kennedy and a TV microphone but to tell the truth, his down-home, aw, shucks B.S. is starting to wear just a little thin, especially with his latest PROCLAMATION.
Yep, you read it right. Mr. Morality Kennedy just called Joe Biden a “creepy old man.”
Before going any further, a disclaimer is called for here. I am not a Biden fan necessarily, although I do certainly think he is far superior in intellect, honesty, decency and experience than Clown Prince Trump. Personally, I feel Biden, like Bernie Sanders and a few others (including Trump) are too old for the rigors of being the leader of the free world—if one could indeed call Trump a leader, which I certainly do not. (I’m 75, so I don’t believe I’m necessarily guilty of age discrimination in saying that—just realistic.)
But for Kennedy, a one-time fairly liberal Democrat just in case anyone needs reminding, to call Biden “creepy” and at the same time endorse and embrace every utterance and act emanating from Trump is indisputably the height of hypocrisy, duplicity, and evidence of a lack of a real moral compass. If Kennedy had an ounce of self-respect as opposed to a ton of ambition and ego, he would distance himself from Trump, who is on record, courtesy of the ACCESS HOLLYWOOD tapes, saying much, much, MUCH worse than anything Biden has ever said or done.
Trump’s payoff of Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal were to cover up adulterous affairs and despite claims by Trump apologist (creator, actually) BREITBART, were most definitely not “private transactions.”
Yes, Biden crossed a line—several times. Women, for the most part, are just not comfortable with touchy-feely men and men should respect that. He also should apologize and not just slough it all off by saying he will change his behavior, as he said today.
At the same time, I cannot help but feel that with the manner in which Russia took over social media in the 2016 election, that this entire Biden business would never have surfaced had he not been the leading Democratic challenger to Trump. Now, whether some kind of character assassination was carried out by Trump or by Biden’s Democratic challengers is not certain but rest assured it was just that—a character assassination or as it is better known, dirty politics.
And it’s not the last such event that we’ll see in the upcoming presidential election. There will be others, lots of others.
Some might even say what I’m writing here is a character assassination of Trump.
Except he doesn’t need my help. He has a very rare affliction: every time he opens his mouth, he shoots himself in the foot. Very rare indeed. He is his very own walking, talking character assassination.
But this little rant is about Kennedy. If he is a true Trump loyalist, and I have no reason to doubt he is, he should never have opened that little can of worms.
After all, those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
And Kennedy just heaved a big one on behalf of the resident of a very large but fragile glass house.
Maybe Kennedy, for once in his ego-driven life, should just shut the hell up.

I do believe I said in my post that this entire Biden thing was brought about by either his rivals in the Democratic Party or Trump. I never for one nano-second ruled out fellow Democrats as the source of the story. Go back and re-read the post.
Google “Creepy Joe Biden” and see what pops up. No comparison. Let’s not give mean words and unsubstantiated claims by lesbian friends of Hillary and the DNC the same attention as a creepy old dude that inappropriately touches kids and makes every woman around uncomfortable. The fact is, the indisputable fact is, nothing Joe Biden has ever done remotely compares to Trump’s actions. You can turn your head to your hero’s sins all you want, but it doesn’t change things. When you invest your unseeing faith in one so flawed as Trump, you’re headed for a fall.
And Ben, you ask that we not give “mean words and unsubstantiated claims” and in the same sentence you make reference to “lesbian friends of Hillary” without a shred of evidence and to me that sounds a little “mean and unsubstantiated.” But even if she does have lesbian friends, SO WHAT? Are you the one to judge someone’s choice of friends? If so, how do you continue to support Trump who would probably bed down with Putin and Kim were he given the opportunity.
So now we know you are a bigot and a homophobe, and wearing blinders to boot. And BTW, did you happen to know it was a lesbian cop who saved Rep. Steve Scalise’s life? And I would wager that somewhere in your family tree sits a gay person. They’re more common than you think and they aren’t bad people. They’re just people. But bigots are bad people. Let us not forget when George W. Bush walked up behind German Chancellor Angela Merkel, put both of his hands on her shoulders and commenced to massage her shoulders. Look at the video. Does it appear that Chancellor Merkel appreciates this gesture by “W” or is she shocked and offended? Surely the latter.
So “Phony John,” why aren’t you criticizing “W” for his actions which were equally if not more egregious than Biden’s? Oh, that’s right. “W” is a republican (lower case intended.) Kennedy is indeed insincere. Or maybe he’s just dumb–like trump.

Interesting responses and interesting how some people are able to read dark things into Biden’s clearly affectionate (if sometimes unwelcome and silly) gestures, but forgive Trump for blatant harassment. Do people fail to remember that George Herbert Walker Bush was photographed patting young women’s behinds from his wheelchair and was reported to have done so by young women – Oh, I forgot, that was just harmless touching by an elder statesman. And, let’s not get started down the path that would recount other much more egregious actions by numerous political figures.
So, we have an attempt by Biden’s rivals in both parties to smear his name and paint him as a dirty old man, including our senator who makes us for lack of seniority with extreme Trump posterior osculation and, with this proclamation, makes himself look extremely small and naïve – or, should I say joins the crowd of others doing so.
I am amazed by he number of people who seem to fear Biden so much they are willing to destroy his reputation and who believe we mullets are so naïve as to buy their line on this whole thing. I do not presume to know Joe Biden or Donald Trump. But, if I put their public personas side-by-side, there could not be a clearer winner in personal integrity.
If I was Joe Biden, I would gracefully bow out (and get behind Seth Moulton, the best potential candidate to have emerged). I would give as my reason that my time has clearly passed in this political universe and I do not have to subject myself and the people who care about me to one-sided interpretations of every thing I have done in my life. I would not dignify this smear campaign by providing any further explanation of my actions or my life.
If I was John Kennedy I would attempt to recover the humanity I have lost to political ambition.

Never said he wasn’t, did I? All I said was it seems a tad difficult to take shots at Biden while serving as a Trump Toady. I will concede that Kennedy was right in that we don’t need “creepy old men,” which is the very reason for voting Trump out in 2020. So don’t cloud the issue by pointing at Biden while ignoring Trump.

I have been down the rabbit hole for awhile, reading books to help,me understand what the hell is going on,must admit I still don’t know, but I have food for thought. I have unfollowed countless people and Kennedy is one of them, I am so done with liars, who spread toxic stew. I also can’t draw a parallel between an affectionate demonstrative man who has suffered much personal loss, and a pussy grabbing malignant narcissist, but hey, that’s just me, I will leave you to figure out which is which….
Kennedy was educated at Vanderbilt and the University of Virginia…he knows better than most that he’s being hypocritical. I’ve taken to calling him, Senator Corn-pone for his attempt to be the “good old country boy,” wise and folksy. He’s failed my test of what I expect from a Senator from Louisiana … He’s become just another clown from the South. He’ll never get my vote.
