I’ve just published a new book but it’s available only as an E book and as of today, it’s available on Barnes& Noble’s Nook, Sony, Apple, Kobo, and Diesel. It should be available on Amazon Kindle later today.
Unlike my previous books, this is a work of fiction. It’s a novel entitled The Mission. It’s about the election of a mentally unhinged tyrant as president of the United States who wins the most acrimonious, divisive election in American history and who, immediately upon his inauguration, sets about dividing the country—and the world—even further with his dictatorial actions. Even as he comes under investigation, he continues to insult our allies and to curry favor with our adversaries, creating a volatile atmosphere that threatens world peace and economic stability.
At the same time, NASA sends a seven-person crew on a first-of-its-kind mission into space. The crew of Sol Orbiter One, commanded by Col. Travis Whitten, discovers during its mission that the earth is doomed to nuclear annihilation and they are the only ones who can change the course of history
Upon their return to earth, they embark on The Mission that is shrouded in secrecy and if successful, they know they will save mankind but at the cost of their own lives.

I’ll watch for it in the Kindle Store.
Me, too! Any idea when it will be out this afternoon?
Working on it. Thanks.
I just finished it on Smashbooks. Great story!!!!
Wow….a book about a space mission with Barack Obama at the helm…must be riveting! The “crew” probably consists of one example of every culture on earth….except our own.
Thanks. Glad you like it so much. Love those thin-skinned Trumpettes who are so obsessed with Obama (who, in case you haven’t noticed, is no longer president, so get over it already).
They just can’t get over the fact that the black dude was Prez for 8 years.
Well outlaw, you have two choices: read it or choose not to read it and shut up. It’s still a free country last time I checked.
One is tempted to give it this blurb: “Ripped from Today’s Headlines!!!!!”
Unfortunately, we don’t hear a lot out of NASA lately. 🙂
P. S. That Smashwords is a great idea!!!!
Oh my…what could go wrong?
Congratulations You must never sleep
Just read the first 4 chapters and beginning of chapter 5 – good, tight writing, Tom, with good humor. While some characters are drawn from life, I am going to go out on a limb and assume Dr. Patel is not based on Jindal 🙂
Lucky guess.
Tom, you have such a vivid imagination. I simply cannot imagine a US president who is unhinged, authoritarian, has difficulty recognizing the truth, would deliberately seek to divide people in our great nation, and destabilize the world economy. That simply could not happen! I must read your new tome for a journey into fantasy land. Oh, wait…..
Yes. The fiction blends seamlessly with the non-fiction here, though it is, of course, a work of fiction – and a very good one.
You have Trump Derangement Syndrome. Truly Nutbar Factor 7.
How would someone in complete denial know, especially with those blinders on? Without knowing you, I’d say you watch Fox News to the exclusion of all else and that you have no clue about all the revelations about Trump’s dealings with the Russians going back for years, of his association with mafia types, of his cheating contractors out of money for work done, cheating hundreds of students out of their savings via his phony (make that “fake”) university, his real estate deals with Russians in New York and Florida. And you obviously don’t care about his promise to have Mexico pay for his precious wall and then turning around and trying to get American taxpayers to foot the bill, or his latest efforts to give the rich an additional $100 billion tax break (that’s a story that came out today), or his constant flip-flops on policy or his disrespect for women or his patent racism and bigotry.
If you can continue to support him after all that, you’re calling the wrong person a nutbar.
Unfortunately, you are presenting facts to a brick wall. As you know, the late Dr. Charles Krauthammer coined the term this guy used, originally applied to George W. Bush, then to Trump with a slightly different meaning for each. I prefer my own term for those who cannot see his faults, Trump Delusional Syndrome referring to his acolytes rather than his detractors. I was not a big fan of W’s, but the difference between him and Trump is vast, as is the difference between Trump and any other president. The fact people see him in such dramatically different lights continues to amaze me. It’s as if 2 people can look at exactly the same thing and see 2 entirely different things. I really do not get it.
No, Sunshine, here’s your real Trump Derangement Syndrome:

You should be so proud.
Will get your book, thanks Tom, Mr. Winham, respectfully, you do get it. You can think and learn. The Trumpettes or Trumpites, or JIndalites, is a confirmation of everything we learned at school, church, and life. They can convince the fearful, ignorant, and prejudiced that they are always right, kinda like one of my wives. Keep learning and keep loving, to quote Coach Dale Brown, love is the greatest force on Earth, path to peace. ( but do not trust the sons of bitches) ron thompson
