The moving van at the Governor’s Mansion. Yes, folks, Bobby’s moving out. Kinda brings a tear to your eyes, doesn’t it?
Something we’ve waited a very long time to see…

Count the silver!
Goodbye and good riddance!
We may be saying good-by. But, we will be remembering and dealing with his incompetent, mean-spirited governorship for years.
And supposedly he’s sending the portrait of “white Bobby” back to the painter.
It’s sad that jindal spent even one night in the mansion. Why is a moving van needed when the furniture is owned by the state? Better make sure that 20 foot table stayed in the state dining room.
Edith Herring speaks the truth. Our economy, our institutions, state government structure, and so many of our people will take years to recover, if ever. State employees and recent retirees will suffer the effects of his misrule for the rest of their lives. As someone recently pointed out, karma’s real….
Can hardly wait for feds to move him into prison.
Maybe Edmonson will rent a helicopter and fly him there for old time’s sake!
I am ashamed to admit that I believed in him originally. All the talk shows sang praise to him as the second coming. They too believed him and fell for his lies. I have wasted seven years of my life waiting for this day when this vermin would vacate this office. My disgust with him caused me to vote Edwards as I am sure others did as well. Edwards is making some questionable choices, statements now and I pray I have not allowed someone as bad or worse than Piyush.
Bye bye, Bobby. Don’t let the door hit ya’ where the Good Lord split ya’.
I had a fleeting feeling of joy when I saw the picture of the moving van. That is, until I realized that we all know Jindal well enough to know that he won’t stop commenting, interfering, pulling strings and poking his nose into state affairs. The thrill of influencing outcomes and stirring $h!t makes it irresistible for him to fade away. He’s “gone” like herpes – expect frequent flare-ups. His fingerprints are everywhere in the form of appointments of cronies to influential positions and horrific policy decisions. Many people bear the scars of his inhumane governance. And he so enjoyed inflicting the pain, he’ll keep right on doing it, even though his power is limited. It will be very hard for him to stop doing what comes naturally.
Mr. Jindal’s new home purchase is a little curious, let me explain.
In a subdivision where most homes are under 4,000 square feet Jindal has a custom home of 6,115 square feet built.
In a subdivision where most homes are under $700,000 Jindal has one of $817,500.
In a subdivision where the cost per square foot is over $180 and runs near $190 for all those custom features, his home comes in below $134 per square foot, just … never mind.
Somebody please explain to me why would you overbuild in this subdivision?
Which brings me to finance. How can one who just lost his “state job” and “traveled several thousand miles looking for employment in the White House” qualify for nearly a million dollar mortgage? His wife must hold down a really good job.
And lastly NOLA.com ran an article which state Jindal’s net worth was 10 million. I never knew working for the state or federal government could be so enriching.
So, Mr. Jindal, don’t forget you owe all the people of Louisiana a thank you note for placing you in such a fine new home.
I suspect it’s a thinly disguised bribe through all the books he has ghostwritten.
You publish a book and lobbyists and those seeking political favor each buy 10,000 copies. There’s a pretty thin line between the vanity press and a real publisher these days.
There was a time when a politician got in trouble for that. No more.
His wife did hold a good job with Albemarle but gave that up when he got elected. Both Lamar White and I have written extensively about the questions surrounding his wealth–most of which was accrued during his three years in Congress.
